If we do appoint Steve Clark I'm sure some will suggest that NESV have bought him in on the suggestion of the man they intend to appoint in the summer who is currently at Real Madrid.

its the first time a liverpool manager's post match interview has made me smile and nod in agreement for a long, long time. loved the response to the question about whether its his biggest challenge or not, and his respect for the current squad.

his interview showed his sense of humour and that's something that could have a bit of a calming influence as well.
People who dont know him or much about what he has acheived at LFC could not help to like him just after chatting to him for a couple of minutes.

welcome back king kenny.
watching you walk back on to that pitch was amazing and resurrected some real memories and emotions that sadly was missing.
the impact your return has had on the players and fans was instant and yesterday we watched a spirited liverpool for the 1st time this season.
the way his face lit up when the reporter after the match asked you were you happy to be back said it all and i get the feeling we are on the up at this club again.good appointment with steve clark and his experience in the modern game will help him out.i hope he is given 2 or 3 players in this window to have a real shot of turning us around and putting himself in with a shout of a long term contract.
already you have brought back something that we as fans have lost when watching our team play.PRIDE!!

thats the interesting thing.
Kenny will without doubt give the fans and players a massive lift, but he still should be given some money to bring in some fresh faces, or whoever brings them in whether it be Kenny or Comolli, we need to be trying to improve the squad if possible.
The link with Suarez is very interesting as he is someone that would come in and have an immediate impact and he looks to possibly be available in this window.

Oh absolutely, getting a good manager in is just step one, there is no doubt that we need rather large player investment as we have far to many average players in the squad but a great manager can lift even the cr@ppest players.
But from what I saw yesterday I actually think 4th spot is achievable again especially considering how patchy the other teams have also been this season and please please Chelsea or Arsenal or even better Citeh beat Manure and that that whiskey faced old kunt to the title.

I am very happy to hearing that Mr. Kenny Dalglish is back in charge of Liverpool team, and I sincerely wish him the best of luck, this great man has put the club's interest before himself, and we the LFC fans must give him all the backing and to our wake squad of players, which Kenny and the unlucky Roy have inherited from the two previous destroyers of LFC history Houllier and Benitez, and especially the latter one had compelely changed the style of LFC team play, and that is why the club is paying for it now. I hope Kenny can bring the simile back to our faces, and have a bright future.

GOOD LUCK KENNY:D

Kenny Dalglish exclusive: Liverpool FC does not accept defeat
Jan 10 2011 by Luke Traynor, Liverpool Echo

NEW Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish last night vowed to restore the winning mentality at Anfield after his side bowed out of the FA Cup.

The Reds were edged out by a single goal at Manchester United yesterday in a controversial third round tie at Old Trafford.

A Ryan Giggs penalty in the first minute of the game was enough to dump Liverpool out of the competition at the first hurdle.

The Reds also had to cope with the loss of their captain Steven Gerrard after he was shown the red card by referee Howard Webb in the first half.

But Dalglish, has promised to do his utmost to find the formula that he believes will see his side turn round results on the pitch.

After the game, the 59-year-old told the ECHO: “As great as the effort and commitment was great today, the football club isn’t in the habit of losing games.

“Even down to 10 men at Manchester United, and having lost the game to a diabolical penalty kick, we can’t accept that and we won’t accept that.”

Dalglish’s words will be welcomed by Reds fans who believed expectations were being altered under Roy Hodgson’s troubled reign.
And the Scot described the honour he felt after being invited by Liverpool’s American owners to guide the club into calmer waters.

The manager has been installed as temporary manager at Anfield until the end of the season in a bid to end an alarming run of results, which has signaled the worst start to a Reds season for 57 years.

Recent losses against Blackburn and Wolves persuaded Boston Red Sox chief John W Henry to wield the axe against Hodgson on Saturday.

Dalglish, who left as boss under emotional circumstances back in 1991, said: “I don’t think it’s unfinished business. I said before there were unfortunate circumstances in which I left the last time. This time it’s Roy that’s lost his job and he’s a real good man with integrity and dignity and a friend.

“That was the disappointing thing for me that Roy came here and it never worked out as well as everyone hoped for.

“But for me it’s a great honour to be back and for the supporters there’s no way we’re not going to do as much as we possibly can and get some positive results.

“The players want to go on and win games because the people at this football club deserve that. There’s only one way we can do that, working hard and producing the goods on the pitch.”

Dalglish recalled the Liverpool glory days of previous decades when he was a player and then manager at Anfield.

And he indicated his desire to bring back more success to the club for the younger generations of supporters to savour.

He said: “We’ve got to get the fans singing, we’ve got to make them proud of us. And that’s what we want to do.

“We’ve not been great but I think the memory sometimes plays tricks.

“People think back to the glory days of the 80s and 90s, or the 70s and 80s, saying, ‘Remember that? That was fantastic’.

“But we were rubbish in games then, sometimes as well.

“We want to give them some happy memories as well, that was the big thing about Istanbul wasn’t it?

“That generation of supporter had never witnessed a European Cup. We want to give this generation their own tales to tell, of fantastic football.”

All hail the King ....... and the return of common sense
