Benitez, Oniell and Coyle Coyle were in a pub talking about their children
My son was born on St George's Day, 'remarked Coyle, 'So we obviously decided to call him George.'

'That's a real coincidence', observed Rafa', My daughter was born on Valentine's Day, so we decided to call her Valentine.'

'That's really incredible', drawled O'Neil, 'Exactly the same thing happened with my son Pancake.'

In the few words he said at the airport, and then in his first interview with LFC TV Kenny has already shown that he absolutely understands the club in a way that Roy never did.  That is not slagging Roy off, no point now, it is just a fact....

Like this

We might lose a game - not necessarily on Sunday - or we might not play too well and that's when we'll need their support. We also as a squad of players and as a management have to give them something to cheer about as well. I'm sure our people will respond if we go out there and they see that our lads are proud to play and that they'll do their best for Liverpool Football Club. We'll do our best to get the results that they all want, we won't always be successful, and to be perfectly realistic I think we have to say 'Let's just start walking before we run'. Let's not go crazy here and think the season changes and we're going to sweep everything aside now and go undefeated from now to the end of the season. We're perfectly capable of doing it but let's be realistic, let's just go out there and try our best and take things one game at a time.

Not an inch given in setting any expectations that we should consider anything but a win today, and then saying we might not win every game, but then says we are perfectly capable of doing that.  This is the winning mentality we have been missing so badly.  It is natural to KK.

Then....

You have to respect what Alex has done in the game and you don't do it through gritted teeth. It's a fantastic achievement what he's done, his track record is fantastic, we respect him as a person and a football manager. It's all well and good people disliking him or disliking Manchester United, but it doesn't mean you don't respect what other people have done in football.

Gives the required level of "respect" but makes no mention of liking him, him being a friend etc.  He is a respected opponent, that's it.  Top drawer.

Loved this one...

I'm looking forward to. There's no fear, just a nervous anticipation about what's going to happen.

The King just gets the club, it is in his blood, and therefore it naturally comes to him how to speak on behalf of it.

There is every chance today that we may lose of course, there always is at OT, and nobody will judge Kenny on today, win or lose, but it is such a relief to have him back, and feel like the club is in safe hands again.

He cant lose
Even if we get beat it wont be his fault. No matter what happens  for the rest of the season he will be bullet proof.
Its perfect in every way. Lets hope the players respond for the fans

If we are to be pragmatic about the situation I put up the following points

If we believe the issues with SG and Carra then the King returning is a good thing as nobody is bigger than him.  Fans would take Sg's relationship with rafa and Roy as reasons to attack the managers but if he falls out with Kenny or demands to play where he wants then he will come second in that scenario so to be pragmatic about it, SG will have to step up as this is the one man alive that he simply cannot afford to fall out with if he wants to remain at the club.  If the worst case scenario arises then Kenny could sell him and not have the flak that would have happened if anybody else did it.  I dont want this situation but we have to face up to the fact that there does seem to be huge issues within the camp and this HAS to stop for us to move forward.

The fans have automatically become united because of one man.  He is the great uniting force for us. While I am pleased that Roy has gone I still repect the guy and I cannot agree with some vitrioloic attacks to a guy that spent SIX months with us.  While I am a member and supporter of SOS we are in danger of being too reactive and getting petitions and letters organised in my opinion a little too often.  While this may be hypocritical as I wanted Hodgson gone and am an SOS supporter I do think that we had bitter divides within the fan base and although they have done great work we have to be careful that we dont get used to protesting and moaning at the drop of a hat as the clubs success has been based on smooth business as usual mantras.  No Lfc fan will turn on Kenny who understands us and has led and been the face of the club in a hugely dignified way through very difficult times.  And to be pragmatice, this is a genius appointment as we are instantly unified.

I would then hope that the whole playing squad would be unified as SG and Carra now face the top legend and the likes of Torres and Reina do so as well.  Nobody will be bigger than this guy who has consistently said that the club and the fans always come first.

Double winning manager or the bad few months at Celtic.  Which is the Dalglish that we will get.  Well we have a huge coaching staff and technology has had a huge impact on tactics etc.  But this is not the main issue as far as Im concerned as we have a staff who are experienced and up to date.  We, after the madness of the Twit and :censored: era desperately needed a leader who is a legendary unifying force.  One who understands the club, understands players and will only be concerned with getting us winning again.  A man who is big enough to motivate the squad we have , a man who can unify the players fand and the board.

And now we have got that man  :buttrock

I was listening to talksport before and Graeme Beacroft said he has heard Kenny won't be calling any former reds as his no 2 because he is having Steve Clark Jose Mourinho former no2 at Chelsea.
