THE MIGHTY LIVERPOOL VS CHELSEA - LET'S TAKE THESE MERCENARIES!!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby ALONSO » Thu Jan 18, 2007 11:14 pm

I dont think we'll beat Chelsea on Sunday. It will be the same old problems, a lack of skill in the side, defending a set piece and having too many past it players getting in the squad, e.g.Zenden and Fowler.
Its time for a clearout.  :veryangry

I'm afraid of Drogba. He is scoring goals for fun now and hopefully on saturday we can mark him tightly and close him down. I don't want to recall what he did to us last season!

The advantage we have is that Terry is out and we have our fellow fans cheering for the mighty reds.

Hopefully we can sting them and stop their record of beating us in the league in the past 3 years.

We will win.

Only because we have to.  :D

The problem with Drogba is that the players marking him often have mental lapses and they forget to mark him. Close him down, don't give him an inch to turn. Set pieces in particular, like corners.

I think it will be impossible to beat Chelsea this Sunday;in fact I will go out on a limb and say we won't even get a kick of the ball against Chelsea on Sunday.I will also make a sweeping statement that the attendance for Sunday will be less than 1000. :rasp

Liverpool-chelsea preview from SSN

in the preview it says:

"Petr Cech is set to hand Chelsea a massive boost by returning to the side for the first time since suffering his horrific head injury last October. The Czech Republic international has been declared fit to face Liverpool and Mourinho must decide whether or not to throw the giant keeper straight back into the deep end at Anfield."
