loads of balls into the box and pressure on him then, i no it may be cruel but if he's fit then he's fit.

As Rafael Benitez prepares for his 100th league match in charge of the Reds he can justifiably look back with pride on a record that is superior to almost all of his recent predecessors in the Anfield hot-seat.

Rafa's first 99 Prem games
Won: 55
Drew: 18
Lost: 26

With 55 wins already under his belt, Benitez boasts a better record than that achieved by Bob Paisley (54), Gerard Houllier (49), Roy Evans (4 and Graeme Souness (40) over the same period, while victory over the Champions at Anfield tomorrow will see the Spaniard equal the tally of legendary Scot Bill Shankly (56).

By contrast Arsene Wenger won 54 at Arsenal and Alex Ferguson 45 at Manchester United.

from lfc.tv:

MARK COULD WING THE BLUES

Mark Gonzalez is in contention to face Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday, Rafa Benitez has confirmed.
It was initially feared the Chilean winger would be out for three weeks after he was stretchered off with a bruised shin against Arsenal in the League Cup last Tuesday.

--------

personally, i wouldn't want gonzo on the wing on saturday, maybe coming on late on  for something different, but i would prefer to see riise/aurelio on the left

Very tough match.

I wouldn't like to think Riise would play, particularly at left-back, as he will get wankered on current form.

I think 3-4-3 would be our best bet with the current injuries, lining up thus:

                                             Reina

                            JC              Sami            Agger

Finnan                   Gerrard                  Alonso                         Aurelio

                 Bellamy                                            Kuyt

                                           Crouch.

Pressure the feckers' goal, and NO STUPID MISTAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will be tough.

It is unlikely.

But it can be done.

personally i would rather chelsea win the league than man u because as much as i hate them both i only know 1 chelsea fan where as i know tons of man u fans and i cant be ars.ed listening to them gloat for a year.

as far as this game goes i think the 3-5-2 formation that lando used looks good and would try it but have pennant and gonzalez on the bench to revert to 4-4-2 if it doesnt work
