THE MIGHTY LIVERPOOL FC VS MAN U - build up here

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I think we looked good throughout. Anyone remember Traores' antics in the 6 yard box? Finnan and Reina looked remarkably composed. That is an example of how far we have come.

Finnan was key in everything, provided the cross for the goal, almost sealed it, caught Saha offside in a critical situation and of course that goalmouth incident.

Tommy Smyth on ESPN was saying Riise stomped on Smith. What a dickhead!!! (especially as there was no clear vision of any stomping)

Tommy Smthy is friggin clueless he reckons one of those MANC defenders had intercepted a pass to Crouch. At the time Crouch was off getting his head sew up

I can't stand the to$$er and he's one of the reasons why I don't watch a lot of the European games on ESPN. Get rid of the :censored:!!

Anyone else see Garcia waving the imaginary card after Vidic brought him down?

If he did he can f.uck off IMO.

That referee was clueless, was that his first game or what?

Yeah there was definitely no stomping, Riise did have to jump / fumble over the top of Smith, but no stomping happened. Look's a very serious injury for Smith, at the start I thought he'd broke his kneck by the way the player's were reacting, but then it showed the replay's. The poor lad was grey as he was being stretchered off. Hope he makes a full recovery as that could potentially end his career.

There was no stomping.

Smith's injury was a cruel accident.

No JBG, there wasn't but Tommy Smyth on ESPN was suggesting there was. Smyth pi$$ed me off saying something like that. Yeah, just a horribly unfortunate accident.

Homebooby sounds like a big brave lad!!!  :p

Agree'd Sarge, every player worked exceptionally hard, every player was effective in one way or another. Great performance.

...and I would have given him MOM if he'd put that first half chance in the back, rather than the side, of the net!!  He did well.

I was very impressed with our midfield but SG seemed a bit quiet today.

Hard to pick a player for m.o.m. -but Id go with Finnan, he was brilliant. The whole back four were, and that wasnt a cheap forward line they shut out today.
Great performance, great result and a helluva boost for our confidence going into the Benfica game. Pity Fowler wasnt on the pitch today to savour the moment.

For me that was one of highlights that SG did seem quiet and yet we still dominated against a strong MANC side
Agree with Sarge , great team performance

Agreed Laza.

It's past 2am and my boys are playing in the first practice game of the year in a few hours so I'd better get some shut eye.

Good result red boys. Now let's go all the way.  :;):

Great victory, we're through in the most important competitions, doing well in the premier !!!!!! :)

The police are looking for the bloke who was in possession of a deadly cheeseburger. The ref reported the incident when Gary Neville nearly had his head taken off by the bap with its meaty middle.................the police will look at video tapes of the incident to see if they can ketch up with the guy responsible..............

Neville was reported to have quoted after "i'm lucky to be alive,it looked to be undercooked and abit watery".............:D
