I seen Smith leg's in slow motion...not good!

The power of Riise shot caused his leg to bend back, then all his weight which was already coming forward pushed is ankle down, is leg kind of folded under his body weight.

Cisse actually has the hardest shot in the Liverpool team, followed by Riise then Gerrard.

Riise's free kick appeared to twist Smith's left leg and then he went down on it. Alomost certainly fractured by the look of it.

Tommy Smyth on ESPN was saying Riise stomped on Smith. What a dickhead!!! (especially as there was no clear vision of any stomping)

When you walk through a storm
Hold your chin up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet, silver song of a lark.

Walk on, through the wind,
Walk on, through the rain,
Though your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart,
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.

Good result.  Crouch did quite well, as did Momo and Didi.  Kewell also looked in form.  Any of the above can be Man of the match for me.

Shame about Smith, though.  That looked nasty.

Good team effort but Didi proves himself to be a class act yet again
We are really overflowing with talent in the midfield now

the way that they weren't describing it, make it sound worse. I hope he doesn't lose his leg or anything as awful as that.

Van Nistelrooys reaction was the one that sent me running out of the room. His arms flew up in the air and he reached and looked to the sky. I don't think it was pleasant at all.

Smith's injury looks nasty. His lower standing leg buckled. :O

Well deserved win by Liverpool. Never really in danger.

Sissoko great today. Nothing pretty about his game but he broke up midfield and UTD couldn't compete.

Tommy Smthy is friggin clueless he reckons one of those MANC defenders had intercepted a pass to Crouch. At the time Crouch was off getting his head sew up

I thought Harry was trying a bit too hard & lost possession a little too often. Not bad just no his best. It's nice to see that double ponytail go though!!! :p

There was no stomping.

Smith's injury was a cruel accident.
