im still on the edge of my seat about this owen situation,but im really annoyed that we havent got any backup transfers if this owen one doesnt work!

Newcastle with all due respect will do badly under Souness!
This is a man who as a player was superb and showed a huge hunger for the game!Had a fire in his belly and wanted to win badly.That was then this is now.Football has evolved,Souness has not and that i why he lacks tactical ability!
He thinks that in this day of age its enough to tell a man want to win and want it more than the opposition and u will win?
This is not true! Skillful players,tough players,wimps,fancy nancies(llike ronaldo) all need a tight leash and a manager whos football brain is superior to theirs!
At St James Park theres more of a footballing brain in the burger stands than in the managers seat! This is a man who should be recognized for his efforts and not giving up!But there comes a time when football in general should say Graham Souness u are not a foootball manager,can i have mine well done,with onions and red sauce??

Alonso is one of the best players to come into Liverpool for quite a while. Not because of his skill.....but his ability to fit into the team straight away and pass all over the field. Personally i think his passing is better tha Gerrard

i actually agree with you there to some extent!

i agree he has no tactial brain what so ever!

i dis-agree about the burgers! its usually a lovely greggs pie ! LOL

we shouldnt have sacked SIR BOBBY!

souness however does have a good eye for players though!

emre-3.8m-bargain and a good skillful player!
parker-6.5m-this guy has been solid as a rock for us well worth the money!
moore-free-never heard of him!
luque-9.5m-a player wanted by top clubs including yourself,he is a top player and 1 i think will be a big hit in the prem!

Well its up to him. I imagine Newcastle will offer him more money in wages....but from a career point of view, Newcastle is not the place to go, deffinatly not right now. :no

What's alonso done for ya? Just calling him good to justify his over priced fee.

Can't wait till owen signs for us after you all told me he would rather die. I'll be here when he does read to rip the p*ss out of you. Just ain't got the financial muscle to compete with the big boys

i second that i rekkon his passing is alot better, also momo has only played a handful ov games and he has had a few man ov the match proformanses<------ spelling, he can only get better and better, get his foot stuck in propper gritty player. talkin about scott parker i thought lpool would ov gone for him. good player just needs to sort the hair style out

Regarding "parker isn't fit to clean gerrards boots". Let me present this to you. Who would you feel more confident with next summer at the world cup. Gerrard and Lampard who are clearly incompatible together, or Parker (imo the best holding player in the prem at the moment) and Lampard. The latter would be perfect I assure you. Lampard is 10x the player Gerrard is.
