I don't think anyone know whats going to happen apart from Michael Owen, he's probably sleep on it and make his mind up in the morning if he hasn't already ???

Just imagine waking up tomorrow and flicking on sky sports news and you see
"Michael Owen has signed for Newcastle United for a record Fee"

How would you feel? (Silly Question)

Just imagine him scoring against us? (Very Possible-while Cisse misses a hat full of chances in same game)

It's fu*ckin horrible in it!

If you love him or loathe him....it will not be nice............

Owen would prove to be a liar once again as he said that he would only join Newcastle on a "loan".

owen spent two and a half hours talking with rafa this afternoon. basically, we are only going to sign him back on our terms. in other words we are not willing to pay more than we let him go for and his wages will be nothing like what he was getting at madrid.

it is believed that shepherd will try and lure him to newcastle by offering him a contract which would also have some substantial get out clauses.

Sky Sports said 2.1/2 - 3 hrs up in Newcastle I believe.

I think that MO is speaking to the Barcodes due to the Heart to Heart he had with Real's president, after all they have offered a reported 16 million, and if the president has said he will do all he can to get MO to Anfield the least MO can do is to go and speak to them and see what he thinks!!

I reckon he is using Newcastle as a  safety net incase the Liverpool deal died or wasnt what he expected. If Liverpool can agree a deal that suits Owen and Madrid hes ours. Im confident of that.

if N/c do end up signing him and load up the contract with a bunch of get out clauses to keep him happy then they must be even more desperate and stupid than most of us currently believe - it would be clear that he has no real commitment to being there. what if he gets injured first game and is out for the year and then moves on next summer - what's the point?

Newcastle fans are as much in the dark as we are.I,ve just been on there forum and there is a thread titled "Owen will sign for LIVERPOOL tomorrow" and another thread saying "Owen has agreed a two year deal with NEWCASTLE " with a sell on clause of 12 million...........both threads are from different Newcastle fans ,one says his source is his uncle who works at St James park and the other fans source is "his brothers mate who knows Dyer"......pisser and i thought it was bad on here

PremierLeague.com has confirmed that Owen has had talks with us and Newcastle. Now it's simply Owen's choice[and whatever he's offered]. It's quite obivious that we will only get him on our terms which is a good thing where as Newcastle will do anything and I mean anything to sign him.

I think Cisse is mint but my heart says I'd choose Owen cos I know he'd scored 20+ cos he's done it for us for many seasons.

Thats not heart thats your brain. Your heart would say cisse because he would never screw us over and will play with 100%. But the smart way to go is with a proven striker.

P.s. Is that You with Dowie?  :D
