Albert Luque will arrive at Newcastle United on Friday for a medical, after a fee in the region of £10 million was agreed with Deportivo La Coruna.

i've said this once, i'll say it again. Owen will not go to Newcastle. Their Chairman is doing exactly the same thing he done last year with Rooney....attempting to bid for a big player who they can't afford and know fully well can't sign. Thus, Newcastle look like they are trying to sign BIG names and attempt to please their fans.

Owen would not sign for Newcaslte on a contract, look at Alan Shearer! he's been there years and years and won absolutly nothing!

Deportivo have said well you have money, you where going to pay 18 million for Owen so cough up the bucks for Albert if you want him.
I would hate to be a Newcastle fan, first off appointing Souness as a manager, Freddy shepherd calling the fans and there familys a few years ago, pretending to sign big name players, players slagging the manager off, and fighting with each other.
I know our board have made mistakes giving Houllier so much cash to splash but ffs, Newcastle's board Freddy Shepherd have to be one of the worst in the prem along with the bitters, Bill Kenwright and Keith Wyness.
Say what you want but we are very very lucky our club is still a very successful family run business, and Parry and Moores have hold Liverpool in their hearts.

Im sure that if he wanted to sell Le Tallec he would have done so already. Hes got rid of practically all the misfits under the GH era now. Le Tallec done ok against Juve in the 1/4 home leg. Plus i rate Le tallec better than Potter.

The funny thing about Souness is that he always openly discusses a player hed love to have to the media and i most cases they havent even made a bid. I laugh when i hear him but i feel sorry for him. Maybe he should come back to Liverpool and work in Rafas shadow for the year.

with newcastle out of the equation.......does that mean for SURE all others except us are ruled out as well?

ive read what owen is 'reported' to have said, about NUFC on loan, or LFC permanent, but, has ALL other hijackers given up?
sure to god somebody must be lurking.....

THE WORST in the prem, without a shadow of a doubt. shepherd is a muppet. he recently claimed that newcastle are "one of the top 8 clubs in the world".

also, the only reason he allegedly wanted to sign rooney last summer was so that he would have someone to go to all the local brothels with.

the only Chairman i can think of, who is worse than Fat Freddy, is Peter Ridsdale of Leeds........mind you, if Newcastle got relegated, i could see that changing

LOL. They must have been gutted when they got knocked out of the intertoto. I mean it justkeeps getting worse and worse for them. There gonna wanna hang Souness by the end of the season.
