I thought we played well enough and there is no doubting that we deserved to win the game, but there are still a few problems. We weren't hectic defensively and Josemi's form has dipped since his good start, and while we were dangerous going forward, we simply need to start putting away all the chances we are making. Its funny because we have scored a decent amount of goals this year, but in truth we should have scored another 10 or so this season as in a lot of games we are not getting the big wins we deserve.

Villa also won by beating Bolton, and whatever happens between Man UTD and Newcastle, it will favour us (I'd prefer Newcastle to win for obvious reasons, although primarily because they'd be doing us a long term favour by beating the Scum and I wouldn't be that worried about The Toon winning as they will slip up a few times between now and the end of the season).

Baros has his critics, including me, but its great to see him getting his first Liverpool hat trick, and I think he has 10 goals altogether for Liverpool this season, which aint bad.

If Nunez is any good, and stevies back fit, there maybe some unhappy campers in the camp, Igor, hamman, kewell,Warnock.
Cause Rafa doesnt like dropping his spanish additions so he will go for Nunez depending how good he is.
Had to laugh today rafa gave an interview on lfctv website and said he read an article about what he had said about kewell, in the article rafa said he was fat and that was the problem ,  the journalist left the s out :D

I think you are right AB.

1 v. Man City
1 v. Monaco
2 v. Millwall
3 v. Palace
1 v. Fulham
1 v. Norwich
1 v. West Brom
1 v. Blackburn

Is that correct? If so, even better!  :p

Henry only has 11 goals counting the one today. That list is incorrect, check PremierLeague.com

League goals are obviously most important, although Baros is well on course for at least 20 goals in all competitions for us this season. If he can manage 20 league goals then that would be a significant return, and all other goals would be a bonus.

CL goals are also important, although it doesn't matter as much in that competition as long as other players contribute and get us through the games. As the Premiership season comprises of 38 games a season, it is important that at least one player is scoring prolifically as goal scoring midfielders alone might not be enough.

I don't know about the rest of you but I'd love Harry Hewell to get himself a goal soon. It would do him the world of good.

A.B, my personal view on today's game...

we should have won convincely but somehow letting in 2 goals is a worrying sign.
Josemi's form seems to dipped in recent games. Suggest resting him and let him get used to the pace of Premiership. We have enough cover for this position.
Alonso...another super performance. MOTM if not for Baros' hat-trick
Hyppia, Carragher, Hamann and Troare...steady and solid game
Kewell...livelier than usual. Need a few more good games like this to earn his big salary.
Garcia...brilliant one moment, dissapointing the next...well typical Luis Garcia's game. Should have scored the third goal with the volley 10 yards out
sub Finnan did well when he came on for Riise. Good tactical switch by Rafa, very clever!
Palace came for a draw and defended with 10 men but how the he11 did they get the 2 goals?
Well deserved win but I am sure Rafa won't be too happy tonight...need more work
Hope this helps...now go get drunk :D
