shocking news

that will be a feckin bargain for real madrid , good on them

...hmm.....of course its bad newss for liverppool fans, ahh well, u deserve some bad news

Hey, guess what? The Chump decides to say his insignificant bit.

What's the matter, Chump? The Chumps of Liverpool city, Everton, has no news because they have no players worthy of mention, except shrek who will probably do a Bosman on you Chumps, not in Europe (not even in the UEFA competition), nobody wants to buy their players, they can't afford to feed monkeys with peanuts let alone buy anyone, there is no news in their forum except for "when do we start our relegation fight this new season" "1. before Christmas" "2. after Christmas" "3. after the Arsenal game" "4. we are a big club and won't get relegated" "5. it is so dull here that it is better to post in a Liverpool FC forum"

Even a much slower Owen who can't play a full season can still outscore the shrek. After shrek leave Everton, the Evertonians won't know what a striker is!

Hey Chump, even Liverpool's worst news would be heaven for Everton if they're in our shoes.

I think that even if Arsenal play without a goal keeper and without any of their established strikers, they'd still beat Everton. Brace yourself for a right royal thrashing, Chumps.

At the end of the day Owen has been stalling on this contract for 15 months and even as recently as last week was indicating he would sign.
The board have hung on in the hope of getting him to sign an extension for as long as possible in the belief that Owen would sign and there were indications on a number of occasions from Owen that he would but ended up being forced in to taking a low offer or ending up with nothing.
Seems to me that Owen or more likely his agent engineered this situation to secure a move to a big continental club.
You can't blame him for wanting try his hand abroad or for joining a club like Real, it's just a shame the way it been handled and that it's left such a bad taste for the fans.
I've seen some postings about him moving because he wasn't happy with the prospect of being automatic first choice but he's hardly going to be that at Real, he'll be behind both Raul and Ronaldo in the pecking order. On his performances last year he would probably be behind Morientes.
I wish him well, he's been a great player for the club but wish Liverpool was getting a decent price and it didn't feel like the club and the fans had been shafted over this.

Firstly, I would hate to see MO going.  However, if we take away our fanaticism and love for the club, stand back and look at the situation, can you blame him?  I can't.

Take a look at where he is going.  He will have Zidane, Beckam and/or Figo supplying balls.  He will be playing alongside eith Raul or Ronaldo.  Of course this is tempting - I would drop everything (including my wife!!!!) to play in that team. Also remember, he has been in the shadow of SG for 1-2 seasons, so pride may also be a factor - not a big one tho, as he will be aware he will be in the shadow of the previously mentioned names.

We all get caught up in the emotion of the situation - just stand back and look at it from his point of view.

The Club will survive without him - and might actually do better, without having to mould the attack around 1 player, bringing competition into the strikeforce.

And neway, Stevie G for Prime Minister!  :D

If this deal is sealed I most certainly hope that Real agrees to stay the f*** away from Alonso. Real buying Owen for £8M and then signs Alonso from right under our nose, I would be in the need for admitting to an angerment control - program

Kevin Beattie is a bit slow for a striker but what a goal tally he has racked up for the Saints. Very good header of the ball too.

jordantoh, Kevin Beattie played for Ipswich in the early 70's.  Don't know much about him, but my dad says he was a good defender and even managed to scored a couple of goals a season!
