When we lose with a line up suggested by you, I also want you taking the blame, do not blame Rafa then eh?

And yet he's got the 2nd highest number of assists for us (5 in league) after Gerrard (11 in league). Incidentally, 4 of Kuyt's assists have come since he's been moved to the wing.

But you keep convincing yourself he's shit and talentless while you celebrate the goals he scores and creates.

5 assists in the league and 3 goals.  For £10 mil + I expect better.

Everyone expects better. The point I'm making is that as poor as he supposedly is, he still has more assists than everyone other then Gerrard. Every criticism aimed at him must be aimed at the other players too.

Kuyt's control is supposedly terrible. He's no Ronaldo but I've seen Babel miscontrol as many simple passes as Kuyt.

His goal-scoring record is terrible. 3 league goals is poor but 6 in 10 champions league games is great. Maybe he should only play euro games?

He supposedly can't cross. He's put in as many good crosses as any other player this season. Babel, Pennant, Benny Noon, Riise, none of these are renowned crossers.

Kuyt isn't world class and so comes in for loads of stick. The thing is, most of our wide players/strikers are of similar standard (with differing strengths and weaknesses) but they seem to escape the flak Kuyt gets.

Is Kuyt good enough for Liverpool? Yes...but as a squad player. We need to buy a world class striker/winger to replace him in the 1st team.

Kuyt is not good enough as a squad player for Derby never mind Liverpool.

:no Stopped reading after this line , well this coming from a guy who blames zonal amrking and can compare pennant vs ronaldo . Utter disgrace .

Why arent they gettin the credit Kuyt is? Really if anyone thinks hes good enough for us then I really dont agree. Were not exactly setting our standards high are we? I admire his attitude, thats it. Hes really slow, cant pass well, dosent create or score enough, his first touch is shocking. I know alot of you respect him for how hard he works and I do too, im just saying its way over the top. Everytime I see him with the ball i cringe. Hes a shocking footballer. People will say im goin over the top and all that but imo its true. We need better players than him if were gunna win the league.

Plus hes not exactly the nicest looking man alive :D

:no Worst post i have ever read

Credit is to be given where its due , he has been excellent ever since moving to the wing and the amount of criticism he has had to deal with is just bull sh!t

And i'm sure you don't look like brad pitt so don't give fecking comments abt how other people look , take a long ahrd look in the mirror

Toffeehater, mate about his looks for a start, that was a joke, so first of all learn to take a joke mate before yer start gettin personal. I have a opinion on Kuyt, you do, everyone does, its pretty even on what people think , hes either good enough or not. Dont get personal and all serious cos you dont like what I say. I respect everyones views on him, mines just different as is alot of peoples.

Oh and by the way, I dont think Brad Pitts nice looking anyway  :D

thingy don't bother mate, just don't bother. people on here wouldn't know a joke if it bit them on their funny bone. people still believe I was serious about comparing Pennant to Ronaldo. christ almighty. I like Pennant a lot more than most do and I don't rate Ronaldo as much as others but for people to think I'm serious, really need to see a doctor.

sabre made me laugh though. and yeah I'll take the flack for when we lose sabre if it's something I've asked for. no worries, because I stand by me decisions which nine times out of ten prove to be correct...Kuyt to play against Arsenal, Crouch and Torres up for the return leg.

And here and now I claim that against Chelsea for the first leg we should play Benayoun from the left, Gerrard in the middle with Mascheranho with Crouch and Torres up front. 4-4-2. Trust me, it'd give us a 2-0 lead going into the game at Stamford Bridge.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Rafa has never doubted Kuyt, and I wonder why that is.  Read the things that he says about him in the press.  If you cant see all of those things and more when he plays then  you are not looking hard enough.  There is more to this beautiful game then step overs and goals.

what about being able to trap a ball and pass it to a team mate, which half the time Kuyt is incapable of doing.

Why does raf akeep playing kuyt?

Simple cos he does the work possibly more then others in his position would think abt it whenw as the last time u saw pennant run up and down the field or 90 mins? Kuyt has got 7 assist this season according to fpl and is the 2nd highest Lfc players in terms of assit

Well its not a nice thing to joke abt , especially not for a man who's heart and attitude , is so brilliant . Can you name me another player other then kuyt who gives part of his wages , sponsership , bonuses all to charity? People like ronaldo only look to earn more ulike kuyt , and fair enough point thats what a forum is for .

I think Kuyt plays because he is the best option on the right, a problem that will hopefully get fixed this summer.

Kuyt might make the position his, if he plays like he did on Tuesday AND can score 10+ a season then he's got my vote. He has all the skills needed, why do people keep asking why he's playing RM when he's by far the best candidate. I might have had doubts about his crossing and defensive work, but he's done enough since getting the nod to persuade me he's made it his own for now.

Yep, controlling a ball and passing spring to mind. He can't do either consistently.

He's not good enough, if Rafa can't see that then he's the idiot, not the 40,000 reds in the stadium every week.

Oh so he deserves his place in the Liverpool team cos he gives money to charity? Thats one of the most pathetic shouts ive heard in a while. Alot of footballers do. More than youd think. I give money to charity/homeless people ect when I can, does that mean I deserve to play for Liverpool?

One thing that I noticed watching the game for the second time was early in the second half Kuyt was in the middle of the goals with no-one near him when he received a high ball from Alonso, by the time he had controlled the ball he was out near the touchline and the Arsenal defence was back.

It was a difficult ball to receive, but if that had been Torres........ or any talented striker, they would have at least had a shot at goal.

I'll give u tenner if u can find where i said that just cos he gives his wages to charity he deserves a place in the starting 11 , he works hard and like ozwat said if he can get 10 in a season like he has now and he's got 7 assist in the premier league alone  , he deserves a place on the right , no other player in the red shirt who plays in his position cept stevie will track back and run foward like kuyt does
