I might be wrong but I honestly don't see us buying a top striker, for a start Jurgen loves Firmino (particularly his work rate) too much to replace him. Any striker we do buy therefore is going to spend a lot of time on the bench.
Are we going to spend big money on a bench warmer? Highly unlikely imo.
You can never say never but I seriously doubt a striker of any significance (i.e a Timo Werner or someone like that) will come in.

Klopp has made a comment of "not too many departures from our squad in the transfer window" . This concerns me a bit as next season we could still be stuck with Hendo, Moreno, Ings, Solanke, Students, Origi, Lallana etc.

If we are still stuck with the dead wood in our squad, then we have to start questioning our manager, especially if we are out of the 2018/19 title race by Xmas again, and out of the FA Cup and League cups again in January.

No excuses for not doing the right deals now.

Markovic - £7m. Interested: Anderlecht, Leganes and Getafe

With origi and Markovic only having 1 year left on their contracts I'd doubt we'd get much at all.

Origi I'd say £15 m. 1 year left
Ings - £10-15 m. Hasn't played for a long time
Ojo - £7-10m hasn't shown nearly enough to warrant a higher price tag
Markovic - max £5 m. Only 1 year left and we haven't been able to dump him yet.

Could even be that we'd loan one of them out to just get them of the books for them to go on a free next summer.

I'm surprised Rafa hasn't gone in for Ings, he'd be a great buy for them, he'd get Newcastle 10-15 goals if he played week in week out. It would be a good move for Ings as well, playing in front of 55,000 every other week.

Not sure Newcastle will be willing to pay the 20 million we want for Ings. In fact, I don't think Newcastle want to spend anything this summer, which will probably see Rafa leave next summer when his contract runs out.

We can get 20m for Klavan at today's rates as the market is grossly inflated. Sh*t players can cost 20-30m easy. Everton have just signed a Watford player Richarlison for over 40m ffs.

I'd keep Moreno for two reasons.
1. Cover at left back
2. May see improvements with better players now around him

My Quotes above were just estimates.  we got £12.5m for Danny Ward, and he's not even a first team player!? Figure that one out.

£10m-£20m for Klavan is about right. Same for Moreno.
Some Lower of the table clubs will pay good money for Ex-Liverpool players.

I can see Klavan leaving on a free when his contract runs out. Decent defender but no one will pay over £5m for him.
