its a fact they wouldnt have scored the second if the lucky first hadnt have gone in, rafa took mascherano off because with 20 minutes left he probably looked at his 2 centre mids and thought who is more likely to put in a killer pass in.
if we wouldnt have been 1 down we wouldnt have changed it.
people can question rafa`s tactics but when we were the better side how can anyone question the tactics or selection?
if i had to lose a cl final it would have been like that.
that bluenose c##t andy gray probably said it best when he said the best side in 2005 lost and in 2007 the best team lost.
good luck to milan, they are a great club who probably owed us that.

Liverpool were the better team tonight, a great effort that the club can be proud of, just as I was proud of our losing effort last year.
As an Arsenal fan, two years ago when Liverpool were in the final, I was happy to support them and give them my full backing. English team in the final and all that. I was just as captivated and enthralled by the great comeback as anyone else.
Then last year, we reached the final. I thought that since Liverpool had enjoyed broad support the year before with the understandable exception of some Everton fans and United in general, Arsenal would also recieve wide backing.
As you'll recall, not so. I was rather taken aback by several Liverpool fans, some that I knew, and others that Id seen talking on forums and the like, getting strongly behind Barcelona.
I couldnt understand this at the time. After all theres no real emnity between Arsenal and Liverpool. And to be fair, it wasnt just Liverpool. Lots of English fans with very little reason to have anything against Arsenal went to rediculous lengths. Barcelona shirts sold by the barrel load.
So fast forward to this year. I dont mind telling you that I was right behind Milan in this final, and I was delighted to see them win. Indeed, Liverpool were the better team, but after last years experience that hardly matters to me. I won't be backing any English teams in Europe in the future, but I'm glad Liverpool were the first ones I got to root against in a final since they are the apex of the fans that had no reason to show such disrespect last year, yet they still did.
Bottom line, thank you for your defeat tonight, I really enjoyed it.

How quickly would you have forgotten if the country had solidly backed Milan today?
We are the only English team to reach the final that has ever experienced that, and youd not soon forgive it if you had. Im aware there were neutrals that backed Arsenal, but they seemed very much the minority.
