what?! gerrard's shot in the second half, kuyt's shot in the first half, crouch's shot in the 2nd half when he went in. Riise's shot in the first half which was wisker's away.

don't tell me we didnt create any clear cut chances, we did and we didn't bury our chances!

Gerrard I will give you. Kuyts wasnt clear cut. Crouch was a shot from 25 yards.  That is a half chance.  Inzhagi one on one with the keeper is a clear chance.

can anyone explain the ref's mentality, ok he was trying to keep the game goin at times, however towards the end he seemed to be favouring milan, or is it just me?

I dont agree  :no

nor do i

Agree...but he could have pull off Zenden and put in Crouch with at least half an hour, since Zenden has been an optional extra the entire game anyway. Pennant couldn't do $h1t...loads of dribbling but can put in one decent cross. Gosh I wonder how poor Carra can carry on should the game enter extratime...

Cheer up guys...don't be too down because I can see us having another go at no.6 pretty soon... :hearts  YNWA  :hearts

Pennant doesnt even look in control of the ball when he dribbles.  His crossing is poor and he never beats a man.  The Liverpool version of C. Ronaldo.  lol!!!!  Not good enough.

It just came down to not having the striking quality to take the chances that came our way. Anyone picking at Rafa's tactics is grasping at straws in my opinion. Yes Milan didn't play well but you have to say that we didn't allow them to. The crucial point for me came moments before half-time with the deflection for the goal. We'd looked so good up til then but after half time I just felt that something looked to have gone out of the lads.

I just feel so disappointed that we lost to a team that maybe shouldn't have been in the competition, that's for a different day and I don't want sound bitter, cos I'm not I'm just majorly disappointed.

Well done lads, you've done us proud getting there for the second time in two years.

I don't regret waking up and watching this match even though it was from 2 to 5 am on a school day where I have to reach school by 7am. I feel it was worth it.

Cheer up everyone...we fought right to the end. :)

I guess ur somewhere in the south east asia yea?

Yeah I am. Singapore  :)

Can't stand it really..the whole of this region (South East Asia) is basically Red Devils zone. Until now...I haven't really found many Liverpool fans among my schoolmates.

hey, i am a singaporean too.. i have tons of liverpool supporters as friends though., i don't believe south east asia is full of red devils fans though. LIVERPOOL FTW!

Really? OMG you should come and see my schoolmates. All RED DEVILS!!! I really can't find many Liverpool supporters at all. The person I talkabout football the most with is probably my close friend who is a Red Devil or my uncle, a Chelsea fan. Speaks a lot about the lack of Liverpool fans among the young people.

I agree we need a quality striker, the game showed today with our chances that we didn't bury, but we did create many clear cut chances today, but couldn't put them in the net!

For the past three years, we have very good defeence but we lack of good striker. kuyt is good but we need one more that is even better.,

Ok, actually we shouldn't blame the referee for anything cos I feel he's pretty decent.

We had our chances but didn't take them. Even Graham Poll wouldn't have been able to stop us with biased decisions had we taken our chances.

The 'handball' by Inzaghi, however injust I feel, would take a very brave referee to disallow it cos it happened so fast and in the midst of so many bodies.

At the end of the day we played well we endevered but did not create enough in and around the box. We are just not clinical enough thats been our problem for a while we can not score from just the odd chance we need a load for just one goal. I am utterly devasted but im just looking forward to a new season with hopefully great new players.

Speed and steel is what we need.

"Speed" in the sense we need fast players who can bomb down the flanks and whip crosses in and also counterattack with quickness and accuracy.

"Steel" with perhaps squad players who can add a little muscle to serve as a brick wall against opposition flair players.

And a predatory striker. A selfish goal poacher who can finish.

We are showing ourselves up ! Stop banging on about a cheating reff or not enough time being added. Its a hard defeat to take but accept it knowing the better team lost, we are not Chelsea or Man U its making me cringe reading the excuses coming out.

Show a bit of pride and dignity ffs

Remember who we are ???
