Well, i simply think that it is much more easy to stir something up if there is something already stirring. Its like telling a lie 10 times than it must be true. People are in general easily manipulated especailly they are fans of other clubs. No one will say out loud we are public enemy no 1 but this is like economics that there is an invisble hand somewhere. Once the press see there is a believable target, they will dwell on it like leaches and never goes away as it takes less effort to make people to belief. Afterward, a second press then a third press on and on will keep doing this as it had already created a fuss. This is like propaganda from the old USSR age. I think I had read enough news about us, I would have to say 8 out of 10 are bad press against us. Obviously the geographical coverage of the one tha against us is much wider and thus made it more believable as people tends to think "more means truth". Really unfortunate that we are being targetted all the time. The main reason is we are being too nice and kind of more old fashioned among the so called big 4. Also, historically, we had always been labelled of having fans that caused trouble. This is obviously a big lie but saying it enough times, people will start to believe it.

And no people around the parts dont see our fans as being troublemakers ... quite the contrary really...

Haha. Well, I tried not to blow this out of proportion but it comes down to the press writting something people would want to believe. With our current state, the fact that our owners are already a given. In addition with the Alonso saga lingering from last year plus his reaction. I mean there is some truth to it that people think things are possible with Liverpool. It is trouble time at liverpool and thus make us more vunlerable in these kind of thing.

Actually, I live in the Far East and thus most of what i read is through the internet. I guess you can say I can only judge from what i see or read. The fact is that most of the press I read is against Liverpool or trying to invent stories. I mean, if I'm not a fan of Liverpool like my friends, they always challenge me with all these made up non sense. But sometime hard to argue with them since I don't know for sure as most of the so called insight information is from this forum.

Surely this is only about selling newspapers and the fact that we could end up being the next dominating club for the coming ten years?

I though the media have been bad in the past with their anti LFC agenda but this summer has been poor even by their standards.

It makes me laugh how we've supposedly got to sell half of our best players every day blah blah blah, where as that lot doen the motorway have double the debt we have and yet get linked with £35m players every day.
