I imagine that will happen.  Unless Rafa comes back  :D  Then we'll remain divided.

How awesome would it be if Kenny lead us out against the Mancs on Sunday!  We'll probably still get thumped though but still.

that would be brilliant.

Not being thumped though  :D

Has there been any official word yet? SSN are saying that it looks like the owners have not made a decision yet and are unlikely to do so until the Mwanck game on Sunday.

If that is true, then the owners need to grow a pair and do the right thing right now (today).  This is doing my head in.

Think NESV had planned to ease their way into Anfield whilst Hodgson just steadied the ship but whilst they where drawing up the blueprints Roy has almost sunk the thing and all those on board with it. They are probably flustered by the turn of events and stuck between sticking to a long term plan on their investment or ripping the thing up and taking a different a path given their main investors are screaming for a sacrifice. I would have thought that be it today or in the next week they will finally realise that as new stewards they can ill afford to isolate the fanbase which is something that crippled the last owners of the football club and something they promised not to do. If they decide to dig heels in and take a we know best approach it would be a hell of a PR gamble on their part to risk good relations with fans at this early stage. Lets face it, at this point we have no new stadium plans drawn up and no investment in the team, and this will all be thrown back in their faces should they choose to hang on to Hodgson for much longer.

I thought that after Rafa went, but the bitter twisted antis never seemed to let it go even when his replacement made it clear himself to be inept despite his wonderful 35 year career

See my earlier post.

The wheels are definitely in motion. Let's not pretend like the next game is make or break; the season is unsalvageable and we're not going to get relegated, even with Roy at the helm.

It's surely not as simple as "Hey let's fire this guy", and five minutes later the news is up on sky sports. If anything we as fans should probably be fairly stoic about things from here on. He will definitely be sacked, and the precise timing isn't particularly important.

I'll say it again. NESV/FSG have a proven track record in sports management; they know what they're doing, hence Roy will be sacked sooner or later.

Aye, I'm just a bit apprehensive.

From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

Find the operative word here? also look at the big glaring questionmark at the title of the article...

Liverpool will apparently axe manager Roy Hodgson after the Merseyside club fell to a humiliating defeat against Blackburn

whichisfair wrote:So I don't post here much, but I can't help myself now given the recent hysteria surrounding the reds and Roy Hodgson. I would like to make a few points:

1) I, like most, would like to see Roy sacked, and sooner rather than later. However, I fail to understand the vitriol with which he is attacked by LFC fans. The insinuations that he is in cahoots with Sir Alex, etc. are just ridiculous. The man's obviously trying his best and is certainly not deliberately throwing games. There is a right way and a wrong way to call for the sacking of a manager. The fact is that as long as he's here we're in this together. When he does get the sack, we should all act with a little bit of dignity, thank the man for his efforts, and move on. Acting like he is purposely trying to sabotage the club is pointless, juvenile, and counterproductive, not to mention it tarnishes the reputation of the so-called greatest fans in the world.

2) Attacking Henry, Werner, and NESV. This makes little to no sense. Sure, I would have loved to see the axe fall after the Wolves game, but in the grand scheme of things, IT DOESN'T REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE. It is next to impossible that we finish in the top four, even with a new manager installed immediately, and it is equally unlikely that we will be relegated, even if Hodgson is given the rest of the season. Sure, we may finish mid-table, but what's the difference between 8th and 12th at this point? The season is lost; we need to accept that, as NESV have obviously done, and start thinking about next year. I don't think Roy will last the season, and I'm certain he won't be in charge for our next campaign. The timing at this point is almost irrelevant. I would much rather NESV take their tame and make sure they do things the right way than shoot from the hip like the last cowboys we had here. NESV is a proven sports management outfit, they are not buyout-leverage merchants like we had before, and I have confidence that they understand the nature of the LONG-TERM plan needed to get this club back to where it belongs.

3) Protests. Please, please, please, people, don't march in front of Anfield or Melwood or wherever demanding the owners sack Hodgson. It's just stupid, and it's not on. HE IS ALREADY GOING TO BE SACKED, and THE SEASON IS ALREADY LOST. These are inevitabilities, and such protests and marches make us all look like stupid immature reactionaries.

In summary, I would plead with all LFC fans to be patient, get behind the team and NESV, and cut all the vitriol and personal attacks. Just chill.

Oh, and Hodgson out.

theres not a big difference between 8th and 12th amte but theres a massive difference between 12th and relegation.

Oh bollox, only saw the title and jizzed in my pants, never read the rest. Oh well never mind, just have to wait a bit longer.
