The aftermath

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby A.B. » Sat Jan 22, 2005 5:38 pm

Currently Boro is beating Norwich 3-1, meaning that we will drop to 6th place. If Charlton end up beating Everton they will have the same amount of points but they will stay in the same place as their goal difference is no where near ours. Meaning that we need to beat Charlton next week, it won't be a walk in the park especially with our poor form as of late.

Dudek's days are numbered, the first goal allowed today was laughable, always beaten at the near post. I'm glad we signed Carson. With the injury to Hyypia we will see Carragher and Pellegrino as the CB's. I'd play Riise back in the midfield as he was in better form there.

Something needs to be done with our central midfielders. Either drop Hamman and play Biscan or purchase a new midfielder. Gerrard isn't helping the cause either has he has been in poor form for some time now. Outplayed by Keane last week and outplayed again today. If we don't sort it out it will be hard for Baros and Moro to score up front. Josemi will return this month and Finnan and Kewell will be return next month. With them returning we won't have to play players out of position such as Carragher today, we should be more balanced with them than we are now.

Norwich are playing with passion and confidence, they dont have any quality players but they never give up. We could learn something from them.
