remember the heinze situation?
no chance.

It's a slightly difference situation as Utd cannot even stop us negotiation. Tevez is only on loan there so any negotiation will be done via Kia J who also manages Masch. Anyway some people are saying Rafa has already spoken to him this week and his reps are meeting the club reps today.

that guy wants ALOT  for tevez

Torres doesn't need Tevez, but CAN play with Villa and Silva to a very very high standard, not a guarantee with Tevez.

Go for broke, buy both the Spaniards and trust in us scorin more than every opponent we have!! :D  Football for the cardiac challenged!!

Kenny I know this is about Tevez but if i had to choose between Villa an Silva id go for Silva,

Tevez an Silva  :nod

Silva can go right as well can't he so he is very useful player to have.

I am not sure on tha tho ?  ???

I reckon he's very similar to Kuyt, works hard and all that. Probably produces a bit more often than Kuyt does but I reckon for the money we'd have to pay for Tevez I'd rather look elsewhere

A bit better than Kuyt, are you frigging kidding? He's a top class  international striker ffs!

Tevez is an outstanding player who is having a slightly off season.

I'm not fully convinced by Tevez, I'm not so sure. Just my opinion. I haven't seen enough from him to suggest he's a 'top class international striker', thats for sure

If we sign him hopefully he will prove me wrong

Can't he play LW, AM, RW & Striker?

----------Reina---------
Arbeloa Carra Skrtel Insua
---Alonso--Masherano---
Kuyt----Gerrard----Tevez
---------Torres----------

I think that could work. Tevez can shift if any of Torres, Gerrard or Kuyt get injured. Riera as cover.

Ideally obviously he plays as a striker but I think he's good enough to play in this formation rather than just sit on the bench until Torres is subbed\injured. He'd be a better option than Riera IMO (who I rate quite highly).

Like others have said the kind of money he would cost would be better spent elsewhere, a one year loan seems like a good idea to see how he fits in. The most talked about reasons to sign him seem to be A) He works hard ( Kuyt ) and B) It would p!ss Ferguson off ??? , neither of which justify signing him.

kazza wrote:I keep reading about rumours of Tevez perhaps leaving Utd in the summer and us being favourites to get him. I myself think that he is an excellent player that might be the answer we need in that creative striker mold (assuming we play Gerrard on the right). I was curious how fans would welcome that (I know it is rumours). Raffa is downplaying it which makes me feel it might be on the cards. When him and Mascha we being flogged around I felt we got the wrong player as we needed Tevez more, now we could get both. I think he may be a world class player one day and we should try and get him.

Fkg Keane situation all over again. Who score the goals? Torres and Gerrard! Call Gerrard whatever you like but given that he scores more goals than most so-called strikers I know what I would call him!

Tervez is an ok player but he is soiled goods and for that reason I would not want him anywhere near Anfield and that goes for anything that comes out of Manchester. Excellent way to wind up Ferguson though! He can't contol this one in the same way as Heinze. Could Mascha clean the United grime off Tervez? Ok I am warming to the idea but not at the expense of playing Gerrard out on the right.
