Singing Tevez would be like a tremendous kick on the Ferguson and mancs balls.

SSN are reporting that Tevez has commented about the interest from Liverpool FC.

Its reported that he's essentially ruled himself out of a move to LFC, because he has to much respect for Mwanck Utd manager and the fans, and also because LFC are Mwanck Utds fiercest rivals.  Oh well.....maybe Rafa can work some magic and convince Tevez to come to LFC.

I would have thought Rafa has probably already played the Mascherano card to Tevez.

He has, though i'm wondering whether he (Rafa) can add to that somehow.  Its a funny one this. Whilst Tevez has ruled himself out of a move to LFC, it is understood (SSN and Talksport) that he will have talks with our club in the next couple of weeks or so. Hmmm ???

Personally i was totally against the signing of ince and the attempted signing of Heinze for the same reasons. Maybe i've mellowed in me old age or i've just seen the light . Just doesn't sit right in me gut if you know what i mean.

:bowdown  spot on mate, however i haven't mellowed that much as i still don't want tevez anywhere near our club.

traditions & principles are one thing i just can't & won't compramise with. each to their own opinion on this issue. i will leave it at that.

Evolution comes about through taking the best of a competitiors product, improving it and stealing the market.

The Japs copied car, motorbike and many other western designs, the Chinese are investing billions in foreign technology to improve their quality and VW bought Bentley and BMW, Rolls Royce to improve their images and fast track into the premium car sector.

If LFC consider that Tevez provides the final piece of the jigsaw to bring us the league and kickstart another period of domestic and european domination which will pay for a new stadium and see us through this period of chaos then I´m all for it and búgger tradition.

If we´re not careful we'll see RM, Barcelona, Meelan etc.. spark off revivals that could shut the door on LFC. Everything is cyclical and it could the turn of Spanish, Italian and even german football to make a comeback. We need to act now and not waste more time and watch the opportunity pass.

Why dont you change your user name to Caveman?

Why don't you respect tradition?

I´d rather win the league and worry about tradition later.

If it takes signing an ex-manc, only on loan I might add, to win the league then I can live with that. Would make the win even sweeter if an ex-manc played a pivotal role ;)

It would absolutely kill manc fans, manc players, fergie and everyone at old tw atford every time Tevez scored a winner or made a crucial contribution towards a win. Like Ronaldo going to old tw atford with Real Madrid and knocking them out of the Champions League - sickening to them, delightful for us.

And it would be all the sweeter after the Heinze affair, fergie absolutely powerless to prevent the thing he must hate more than anything else - a player moving to Liverpool.

A manc is a manc though , yer can't change the rules to suit your needs . If it makes you feel better by saying "well he's not really a manc cos he was on loan for two years " or "he's only half a manc " that's fine . All i'm saying is that sometimes good guys finish second . Well i think that's what i'm saying anyway.

He wore their shirt, supposedly with pride, I'm just saying we wouldn't actually be buying him from them.

Wouldn't you enjoy it even more if Tevez won us the league? It would be like the mancs winning the league with Cantona having bought him off the Champions Leeds - except even better.

And would you rather swallow pride, sign Tevez and win the league, or not sign him, not win the league and watch the mancs notch up 19,20,21,22,23,24....................... ? I bet mancs wouldn't like the idea of signing a player from a rival, but I bet they'd love the idea of stealing Torres from us and using him to be even more dominant. Sometimes people let 'pride' get in the way of judgement. In fact I'd go as far as to say this is almost certainly another example of people saying or acting the way they feel is expected of them, like saying we should never sell Gerrard (or Torres) for any price.

There are slightly more contributing factors to why we and the mancs don't transfer players between us that often, probably mostly because of pride and club rivalry, but also the odds of the two clubs selling anyone the other would want are remote. In this instance it isn't up to the mancs, just as if Torres was only on loan here the mancs would snap him up without hesitation. Notice we haven't transfered that many players between ourselves and the bitters, it still happens from time to time though. But these days the main blocking factor between the "big four" is noone wants to concede an inch of ground, I'm not 100% certain but wasn't Veron the last player to transfer between Chelsea and the mancs? They may not love each other, but the main reason they don't sell each other players, or bother to bid, is because they know the other is a threat and transfers between the two is a no-go for that reason

Quality player on the market, we'd be stupid not to look into buying them.

Would we rule out a player who supported the mancs as a kid? 10 years ago the mancs must have had a new wave of "fans" coming through, any that have become footballers in the image of their heroes will be coming up through ranks somewhere
