Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Great result considering that most didn't think we wouldn't score or win the game for that matter. Even though Dudek made a horrible error AGAIN we played well.

Impossible is nothing. Those who thought we would get outplayed on our own ground need to have more faith when we play at home.
Things will be more interesting now when we play them in the second leg but we have to be careful not to conceed too many goals.

How can you reconcile "those who thought we would get outplayed on our own ground need to have more faith" with "hopefully we won't bottle it"?  ???  :D

That was directed at those who said that we would not win at home. I have faith however I just also hope that we don't let in too many goals at the BayArena.

I must admit i throught we would get out played we have bein playing so poor for a while there is no way i could see us winning with Biscan in midfield how wrong i was :)  but its not over lets hope Rafa stick with the same barring injuries don't change a winning team excpect maybe Dudek for a Error Again

Bayer are a terrific side at home. The next leg will be a belter. They will score a couple against us, but we'll score over there as well, and I reckon we'll sneak through.

3-0 up and we are through.

Then Dudek slips, and it is going to be some game in Germany.

MOM : Hamann
His best game in 2 years

Fantastic: Riise, Carra
Very Good: Traore, Biscan
Disappointing: Finnan, Dudek

Finnan had a decent game, his back header mid way through the first half aside.

A typical good Liverpool performance. Almost all the players played very well, but there were some crazy mistakes and lapses in concentration out there. :0
