That second goal is pure class. Great pass, good control, and neat finish.

Thanks for the link.

Another striker finishing from Luis Garcia, the more I see him the more I think he should be a second striker.

What a pair of assists from my city mate :)

Sissoko's tackle, bad timing, a game of suspension should make him think about it.

Sissoko really needs to buck his ideas up, and stop tackling like a loony.
Top potential, but he could end up wrecking his chances if his discipline doesn't imporve.

Foprget the goals, Alonso's passes were simply magical.  Watching the replay i am still totally perplexed as to how Alonso managed to pick out Garcia, simply sublime.
I rank that pass higher than even Kaka's pass that setup Crespo's 2nd goal against us in the CL Finals.  Alonso was MOTM for me!!

We all dream of a team of Sissoko's!! All 15 of them !!

don't worry about Sissoko....Rafa will have a word (in Spanish) and i'm sure he'll learn

In the first one he wasn't looking, so I'll give the merit to Rafa, that things don't happen if they are not trained.

In the second one, he faked, he looked, and he passed. Merits for Xabi.

I saw the match with Martin Tyler and Brian Marwood giving the commentary and I do agree with Brian Marwood that Benitez should have substituted Sissoko after he had his last warning by the ref prior to him receiving the second yellow card.

Crouch should have had a penalty.

Overall, it was a good victory. Sunderland played with a lot of heart, just lacked a bit of quality. Kewell did not try hard enough and on one occassion, he just let a Gerrard pass by without making any effort to at least get to the ball! This guy is never going to change...
