Torres almost scores....great save by the goalie brown.

2nd half....

Goodies...

1)Pennant
2)Voronin
3)Sissoko (for that goal)

Bad
1)Babel - I hate to keep picking on him....but really...i am not impressed with him. Can't wait for kewell to come back. Anyone knows when kewell is due ?

2nd half, we have to past the ball around a bit quicker

We will score more in this game and Torres to get 1

We're dominating possession and Sunderland look like they're the away team! They have one or two players who are clearly not up to this level and as a unit they are sitting back letting us come on to them, probably in the hope that they can do something on the break. It's obvious Keano has told them to stay as tight as possible because more than anyone he knows his teams limitations...... Be patient, we just have to keep probing and plugging away at them, but if it's to be 1-0, then so be it.

Bollox,

give him more service and a bit of support , he's runing f'ucking rings around his oppo.

First half has been mostly park football , as expected Sunderland are attempting to close the gap in class with effort and aggression. We need to slow it down keep possession and make our class count for more.

I thought Babel played ok. As Woof mentions- give him more support.  With more support he'll be running even more rings around the opposition.

all about confidence for Babel...
hes obviously got the skills so given the chance i think he can play a part for us this season...
hope he gets to cut in mre often this second half... try to squeeze the through ball in every now and then instead of attempting a shot...
brilliant goalie they got there...man of the match so far me thinks !

Well i still stand by my decision.... Babel just doesn't know when to release the ball...

Don't get me wrong, he manages to beat the oppo player the 1st time, then he tries the 2nd player and almost always loses the ball. I have seen this happen a few times already.

Should be in the bag this...its been typical early kick off fayre up til now. Voronin has worked his knackers off and was unlucky within the first 30 secs not to register. Same as Torres in the dying moments of the first half...keep at it Liverpool, better overall since the goal. Time to turn the screw.

Babel's different class btw. He'll be one heck of a player.
