i think that liverpool should get a good right fullback(alves) a great defender(alex) and two wingers rodrigues.m(ateltico) and malouda and a complete striker such as or f.torres
------------------reina------------------
alves-----carragher---alex------------riise
---------x.alonso-------mascherano------
rodrigues--------gerrard-----------malouda
------------------torres------------------
i think this is a very good team both technically and tactically. a very sturdy central defense with alex(pure defender) and carragher, and two fullbacks that create a lot of dmage when attacking. e defensive midfield with mascherano and xabi that provides vision and further protection to the defense. gerrard is the creative player and two hardorking wingers that play well for the team and score goals too. fernando torres would also be a brilliantasset to the team as he is very mobile and ca score goals from nothing. he laso complete with both feet and the head.
please post opinions

Defo wanna see a top goalscorer; but I think the likes of Eto'o and Villa will be too expensive.

We could do worse than sign Anelka, would be a decent price too.

And what if he breaks his leg in three places two weeks after signing and never fully recovers?

Absoloutely unbelievable.

Seriously, just stop posting on here. You're lowering the standard of the football chat on your own. We already have Dawson and a few others who consistently do that, we don't need another one.

It's the "eggs in one basket" problem.

Sign one guy for £40 mill and he might bomb.

I prefer gradual building over several years rather than trying to keep with Chelsea's artificial success.

It would be questionable if Saviola would succeed in England. He himself said at the start of the year in regards to his time in France: "Ligue 1 caused me a lot of problems, it is a very physical competition with difficult tactical systems."

http://home.skysports.com/list.as....pid=219

If he had trouble with the tactics and physical nature of France, He will prob have trouble in England too.

My signings would be:

Villa   if not then Eto
Alves
Quaresma if not then Simao
and money permitting Tevez

These players would provide class players in the positions of striker, left/attacking/right midfield, and right back. They are versatile allowing us to buy less and cover more positions which seems to be the type of player Rafa's prefers. Given the players we already have with these additions the squad would be extremely strong. LB and cover for CB may also be looked at but we do have Arbeloa who can fill these positions already.

The striker would cost the most but we would be able to get the other 3 for the price someone has quoted for Messi (40M). Messi is a superstar, but I would rather get 3 class players to leave our options open. As we showed against Barca, Messi can be marked out of a game and if the other players on the team don't step up you have just paid 40M for someone to stand on the pitch and draw 1 defender out of the game.

interesting list that effes. (French league might be nice to see as well for comparison). Certainly there appears to be some pattern to the different leagues in terms of goals scored against defences. Id have put money on the Italian league being lower than the German one for instance..Mind you on second thoughts. Oh well, in for a penny...
