This is a good ploy from Rick Parry (who has had his critics over the last year or so).

Basically he is telling the fans that if SG is going to go, then he is going to have to hand in a transfer request.

Now you tell me, as true Liverpool fans, would you ever be able to hand in a transfer request to your beloved team? Regardless of what is on offer elsewhere, Liverpool FC is part of your life (for good or bad, sickness and in health......). Certainly puts the pressure on SG!

Personally, I think he will give RB one proper season - can you imagine start of next season - Alonso, Morientes, Gerrard, Baros all starting first game of season against Ipswich!

Has ANyone read the Revista De La Liga article on the Liverpool page on Skysports.com. It p1sses me off so much to see them talking about Stevie's move to Real  or Chelsea is deffinatley on. I still think it's 50/50 but if we get into the CL it will be in our favour 70/30. Urrgghh! It's so annoying!!!

Thing is hes a great player for us and most of the time gives 110% I say MOST, but he wont be so benificial to another club, as he plays with heart and pride for LFC and I cant see him doing that for anyone else.

That the thing Lynds his own ego has probably gone way over board and out of control, But the proofs in the pudding how would everybody involved feel if he went and was a total flop? never say never as it as happened to better players than him.

E120m works out at £82.5m, so my guess would be that they will go for Adriano for at least £45m but no more than £50m, so that would mean that if they were going to go for Gerrard, they would be looking to spend between £32.5m and £37.5m. That's some pretty scratch. Of course, this could all be b0llox, but it's fun to speculate. I guess...

The carling cup game could play a huge part in gerrards future. If we win with steve as captain maybe the thrill of captaining a side to a cup win will encourage him to stay. Surely he wont be captain at Real or chelski   . 4th is a must for keeping him. if we dont get cl football he wont want to stay and the club will need the money- just look at the financial losses after not qualifying 2 seasons ago.

Personally, I think the board and manager should fight to the end to keep gerrard.

I know Chelsea have the money. But Real have the glory and can still compete with Chelsea in the wages department. Mourinho isn't Adriano's only suiter you know. La Porta, and Perez have also been making house calls.

dunno if Adrinao will go to Madrid, I think they may get Robinho and with Owen, Raul and Ronaldo already there then they have enough strikers as it is.
