They have Baines who is an excellent left back and better than Warnock.

If this is true then Baines is on the move too surely.

Baines is not a better player than Steven Warnock. Warnock is a very good player who's never been given the chance to develop. His problem is he's still fairly raw at the age of 24.

Warnock is a good left back, but they already have a good left back? Who knows what could happen

If Warnock leaves in Jan, it will be in a swap deal for Lucas "I'm a dirty b*stard" Neill.

so what! warnock will never be good enough for us. wcich says somthing when we are looking at the likes of lucas neil as a re-placement in the reserve team! there has been plenty of players over the years who haven"t made the grade,at the stage of his career warnock should just accept he isn"t good enough for LFC & move on.

I agree with ya here stu, I think Warnock is a great left back, he has wonderful tackling which makes him a good defender. He is very unfortunate with his injuries, if he didnt have any niggly and huge injuries I think he would have been fighting with riise and aurelio for the left back position.

I hope he doesn't leave, love the player, always shows passion when he wears the red shirt on.

One of the lads is good mates with Warnock, and he reckons he will be offski in Jan.

I disagree from what I've seen Baines is better. This may be because of being given more opportunity to play but I think Warnock has had decent opportunities here especially in previous seasons. Warnock is a solid defender but he lacks pace and striking ability especially when you compare him against the likes of Riise and Baines.

I think there is a case of local bias here surely.

Warnock is third choice full back at Liverpool and failed to hold down a place under Houllier or Benitez. If he was that good he would be in most weeks.

I would not have thought that Wigan would take Liverpools 3rd choice full back to replace the very promising Baines who is one of the most sought after young players in the league.

I would hazard a guess that if you asked any manager in the league to choose between taking Baines or Warnock you would be lucky to find one choosing Warnock.
