Warnock is third choice full back at Liverpool and failed to hold down a place under Houllier or Benitez. If he was that good he would be in most weeks.
I would not have thought that Wigan would take Liverpools 3rd choice full back to replace the very promising Baines who is one of the most sought after young players in the league.
I would hazard a guess that if you asked any manager in the league to choose between taking Baines or Warnock you would be lucky to find one choosing Warnock.

Firstly, he would be in most weeks if goodenough?

Maybe Wigan wont, or maybe they realise that, in the current climate of english players being over rated after a few decent matches or a goal here or there, they coyld afford to sell Baines to Spurs or some other club with more money than sense. Then bring in Warnock for a slice of that money.
