I`ll tell you something,we are still in it, remember how we got through the group in 05? Even if they play out a draw we can tonk the italians 3-0 no bother, can see a big night coming up.

If thats the case I can see another Besiktas type night for Fiorentina
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Maybe we could loan them Gerrard or Torres for that one? ??? :D

For as long I have memories of Olympiakos I'll always believe we can still make it. We just need a favour...a bit of luck even.

Im actually hoping they play out a draw, I`d obviously prefer a lyon win but a draw still leaves us in it with  reasonableish chance.

We`ll have to do it without SG most probably with him maybe needing an op.

I'm not behind Benitez. Not at all. He's taking the club backwards. Worst thing is, we can't afford to sack him and we can't afford replacement players or coaches. We're stuffed this season. Another write-off. The man's in his 5th year and we're regressing.
If only we could afford to do what the world knows needs to be done and get rid.

How's he taking the club backwards? That's just a load of bollox if I ever did hear any. You can dislike, or even disagree with some of his policies, but by no means is he taking this club backwards. He's one of the few men in football to defend himself against two of the biggest w"nkers ever to own a football club, anywhere.

You add into the mixer that we now have an injury crises worse than any in my time as a Liverpool supporter of over 20 years, some rotten luck, and the fact that the press, and everyone else and their granny is out to gun for the man's head, while keeping his dignity and composure is something to be admired. I don't agree with him all the time, but one thing I won't due is join the rest of the lynch mob of discenting sheep by calling for his removal with no clear clue as to where we go from there on in as if sacking the man is the cure to all our ills. Complete bollox. That's not what this club has been about, ever. I was gutted to see Evans go and likewise with Houllier. I'd be the same to see this man go too.

Don't be surprised if Torres needs an op too.

Your reply should have been something like this:

"I just watch it for the bloke's legs. Oh, that Voronin bloke is my cup of tea. Or-er! I've gone all weak at the knees thinking about his blonde locks. He can't finish on the pitch,  but I bet he could finish me off between the sticks".

I never sat down in the first place!
I can smell that 'lovely cushioned header' in injury time already. Feck it, bring back Mr. Mellor altogether!!!

If Fiorentina don't beat Lyon, we will go through. We'll beat them by however many we need to.
