Liverpool and Chelsea could do battle in the summer for PSG's Modeste M'Bami.

The Cameroon midfielder was interesting Chelsea in December until a broken leg ended his chances of a January move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is still interested in the 22-year-old but Liverpool counterpart Rafa Benitez is also a fan.

The Spanish coach is thought to have already contacted M'Bami, who is keen to leave Parc des Princes in the summer.

Arsenal have also been mooted as admirers of the former Sedan man, and the three English clubs could battle it out for M'Bami during the summer.

Marseille and Lyon head the domestic interest in France, but the English clubs would have more financial muscle should it come down to a straight bidding war.

Why are people talking about us getting Championship players? WE ARE NOT EVERTON F.C., it will be ok for us to sniff around those clubs that got relegated but championship players give me a break ffs.

Owen Hargreaves at the right price would be sound business in my opinion. An International, albeit one who has suffered somewhat because of his versatility and a regular in a very good Bayern Munich team over a number of seasons, 24 years old? No brainer for me, come on down.
He hasn't established himself in the England team but people forget, this is IMHO the best England team since 1966. I honestly think we will be THE team to beat in Germany next summer. Hargreaves is a good player and people who judge him based on a 10 minute cameo against Azerberjaan should listen to the guys at Bayern, they love him there.

Considering he was valued at 10 million last season :;):

We do need more english players cause of this EUFA rule of home grown coming into process 2006-2007, not much quality coming through the ranks, the next Michael Owen to come out of Liverpool is only 11 we will have to wait another 5 years, thats if Chelsea and Arsenal dont sign him.
Hes brillaint his dad wont let him sign for the bitters even though hes an evertonain cause hes further advanced and they want to play him in the 10 year old but hes well on the 13 year old mark.
Fergie had scouts looking at him last week our Anthony took him to Burnley to play a game he will be the next Rooney Owen Fowler to come out of Liverpool mark my words. Adam Morley get signing Liverpool.

I would be made up if we signed Hargreaves at that price, he is a steady player that can play a number of positions. He cant have come through the ranks at a club like Bayern and be an England international if he hasn't got ability.
Like i've previously said about Nolan...we need far better quality squad players. Our first 11 are a match for anyone...but the rest of the squad is clearly not upto it.
2.5 million would be a steal.

Hargreaves has said "Liverpool are an interesting club" Which mean what I dont know, I think its a hint that he would be interested in joining us. I havent seen much of him outside of international games, but to be honest, if Stevie stays with Xabi and Didi and Igor leave then we need another holding Midfield player and I think hes just the right player, depending on his price of course!

Hargreves is good he gets back and helps plus he has good build like Heskey but faster he has good footwork i don't know about his first touch though.I would get him for a year if playin :censored:

Anybody got an opinion on Valencia's Mohommed Sissoko ? , I don't know the guy but apparently Rafa signed him for Valencia and Sissoko's agent says Rafa has been tracking him (sky sports) .

hargreaves is definitely worth a place in our squad if you ask me (you did didn't you?

). i remember we were linked with him last summer and i'm disappointed we didn't get him then, but now for 2.5m - bargain. solid, versatile player, young, full international, a regular in the best team in germany by a mile, great with the dead ball. what else do you want?
