Chelsea have a better deal than us but thankfully its not fifty million a year........

"Samsung signs 5 year shirt sponsorship deal with Chelsea Football Club

Leading media and entertainment law firm, Harbottle & Lewis LLP has just advised Samsung Electronics Company in the negotiation and completion of its record-breaking shirt sponsorship deal with Chelsea FC. The 5-year deal is the most lucrative sponsorship deal ever signed by an English football club and was announced at a press conference on Monday 25 April 2005 attended by Peter Kenyon and Jose Mourinho of Chelsea FC. News reports have indicated that the deal with Samsung is worth in the region of £50 million for Chelsea FC which would eclipse Manchester United's £9 million a year sponsorship deal with Vodafone. Harbottle & Lewis was also involved in that transaction when it advised Vodafone. ....."

How long can we go on agreeing to these poor deals time after time, there must more major companies out there who'd be willing to pay more to get their logo on the front of our shirt.
TBH as much as they've done for LFC Carlsberg are getting boring and I think they can quite easily pay more for the privilege they're getting..

and their beer tastes like shite

I agree , 40 quid is a lot to fork out for a shirt and i will gladly rewear it next season instead of spending another 40 quid!!

Can you explain that comment?

If Moores and Parry were satisfied to recommend it to the Board why do you make such a remark, whats your reasoning?

Thanks in advance.

am i the only one who doesn't think it's THAT bad? break the deals down into pounds per year which is the only useful comparison - chelsea are on £10m a year, we're on £7.2m a year, hardly a massive gulf. ok man utd are on £14m but would you expect anything less from those corporate c*nts?

as for spurs good luck to them, whoever mansion house are they've been had for fat lads

it could be worse - we could be getting 400 clubcard points or whatever the bluesh*te are getting :D

Chelsea are on about £10 million a year, but their expenditure is probably four times that amount.

Take the Russian out of the equation and they are not a club with responsible financial planning.

They aren't even run as a business.

:bowdown Finally some common sense, every one is making out we have been robbed, it's still an awfull lot of money people and sorry to say it but we are not as big a brand as Manure at the moment, but I hope that will change over the next few years. As for Chavski and Spurs I can only say that their sponsors have been robbed and they will almost certainly not be renewing for that amount.

Lastly I think it's fairly cool be sponsored by a brewery as opposed to some crappy Electronics firm or AIG, whoever the hell they are, plus Carlsberg were good enough to provide me loads of hospitality at Anfield up through the years :-)  :buttrock

Are you in a wheelchair Heimy?

If not why did you get special treatment and what did Carlsberg do for you?

I'm still f'ucked off that Carlsberg didn't build one of their Ad's around our win in Istanbul . Somebody mentioned "great if Carling ran a Carling don't do comebacks but if they did ... advert "

Thinking it was a great idea I followed it up and after a number of phone calls I got to speak to their marketing dept in the UK , they were luke warm but did give me the contact number for the Advertising agency they use , I tracked the main man down (he was in New York at the time) . Totally disinterested.
They've got their name on our shirts , thats ALL they're interested in .

Quite right you are. Seems some folks on this forum are commercially challenged.
