Smicer

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I'll keep Smicer in for the width of the whole squad. Generally, Smicer is a good player. I would think that performances under GH was limited to exploit their potential.

Many have flourish under rafa, with the exception of Diao. The likes of Biscan, Traore and the young lads have proven good enough to be playing in cup ties. A scene that was never apparent in GH era. Rafa will be keen to see what Smicer can offer in his plans.

His contract is up in the summer and I doubt if he will do enough to get a new 1.

Too much of a lightweight for me.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

I doubt he will do enough to earn a new deal in the short time thats left before his current one expires. I know its a new regime and all but he has been at Liverpool a while now. I think he has had enough time to impress and really has just not done enough overall.

Hyypia has a better goalscoring record than him......Says it all really.
Chopper:Look, you're not still angry at me about the leg, are you?
Neville Bartos : Nah, forget about it.
Chopper : Because I don't know if you remember, Neville, but I had that bloody shotgun pointed at your head. I reconsidered and dropped it down to your kneecap. Remember?

Depends when he recovers fitness. If he gets playing before the end of the season, the cynic in me says that he will play his best football of his Liverpool career. Contracts up see. Talk about motivation all you like but even Anderton generally stayed fit in the last year of his deal.
Yup. Plenty of busting a gut and crunching tackles on their way. Well OK, maybe not the crunching tackles but you get my drift.
Not a bad footballer BTW if truth be known. Not enough ticker for my liking though.
