The lads a centre mid, and i don't think for one second he'll be in Gerrard or Alonso's class, not many are... i can't see him being a world class footballer and with Hamann, Gerrard, Alonso, even Diao and Zenden thats more than enough cover if you ask me.

Hopefully he'll come good.

Diao? Are you taking a p1ss? No doubt that Gerrard,Alonso and Hamann are class but it's going to be a long season, especially for Hamann as he's in his 30's. Might I remind you of the injuries we had last season?

our midfield was serverly stretched last season (why you think Biscan and Diao played?!) and we struggled.  With Figo, a defender and another striker, i think we will be all set.

That defence also had Ayala, Carboni and Pellegrino.....making the average age about 56!

oddly enough i remember angloma, ayala and carboni all playing for valencia but i just cant seem to remember pellegrino playing for them. in my minds eye i just cant usher up a mental picture of him playing.

I'm assuming there's going to be a bit of rotation in our midfield next year, there's no way Sissoko is going to sign for us and be happy sitting on the bench every week, not many player's would sign for a club knowing that. I think we'll be in for an exciting season.
