Oh that's very kind. In the last WC, the hype thought we were going to do a great WC, and a famous shout was created for them "Go there, and don't come without it (the cup)".

Well... :D

Do you reckon that Spain has a stronger team than the last WC?

spain are stronger than England imo.....
i want spain to win the wc

Graeme Souness, Mark Lawernson and Kenny Daglish's transfers were mega money back then. Daglish's was a British record at the time: the equivalent of UTD splashing out on Veron, Rooney and Ferdinand.

In money terms the signing of Lawernson would equate to buying a £15million centre half nowadays.

 All this talk about Simao and actually no-one knows anything for sure. What is certain is that he played for Benfica in their league match today and that if they were getting ready to sell hikm to LFC they certainly wouldn't have played him (especially as he was making a comeback form injury) . FACT: he is NOT coming to join us!!! Get used to it!! That's why we are trying to sign this Costa Rican guy from Sasprissa (FACT)

This deal is starting to go on and on and im sure is tireing RP and RB. Forget this yahoo, just buy Srna. Hes younger more physical and becasue of his age he can adapt quicker.

I'm tired of Benfica and Simao, worth too much:

FROM SSN:

Simao Sabrosa has played down talk that has suggested he has played his last game for Benfica.

The talented 26-year-old was a strong target for Liverpool in the summer but the European champions failed to concur on a fee with their Portuguese counterparts.

A figure in the region of £10.2 million has been mooted to have been rejected by Benfica, but it has been suggested that the player could attract further bids in the winter transfer window.

Manchester United have also reportedly entered the race to land the wide man but for the moment, Simao is not getting carried away with any such suggestion.

Simao played at the weekend against Pacos, in a 2-0 win, but whether this was his last game in his homeland remains very much a matter of speculation rather than fact.

''Is this my last game with Benfica? I don't see why,'' said Simao.

''I am a professional and I have a contract until June 2010. Everyone is aware of the situation but it's Benfica that have to decide.

''For the time being there is nothing. ''

Well thats it then i guess unless Rafa ups the bid. I would have prefered Srna to be honest anyway.

Srna or Galleti, or both would be fine. Galleti on a loan and Srna would cost 4 million tops.

I think we should f*ck Benfica right off.

If that silly c*nt Sabrosa wants to stay in a p*ss poor league with a bunch of softies, rather than prove himself in the hardest league in the World - fine.

We'll just have to batter them in the CL and hold up a banner at the end saying "Sabrosa? - I'd rather have a sh*t."

He's a good player but after "the things" that Liverpool gone thru with Benfica, I really not sure that it's a good idea to have him. I think that we can get cheaper player yet better than him.
