Shearer throws shirt into crowd! - Transfer speculation.

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby spiralstairs00 » Sat Aug 28, 2004 7:58 pm

Highlights of Newcastle's defeat today against Aston Villa will show Alan Shearer throwing his shirt into the crowd after the final whistle. "He stayed on the pitch to applaud the fans & seemed to wave goodbye" a fan was quoted on talksport. Speculation linking him with a move away from the club has been rife today on local radio, going as far as to say he'll be signing for another club as early as monday! Liverpool are reported to be interested but only if first choice Mista of Valencia cant be prised away. On another front David Moyes is strongly tipped to be leaving Everton to take over Newcastle if Bobby Robson finds his position untennable.

Having Shearer wearing the Red jersey would be really something. Can't get any better than that, unless we get Mista.

Shearer is rumoured to be taking over from Bobby Robson as Newcastle's next manager so there is no way he is leaving the club.

Shearer's name will be back page headlines in the morning but not because he is coming to Liverpool. How ironic is it that 5 years to the day of Ruud Gullits sacking Bobby Robson also drops Shearer? There is a story in the making there i reckon?

Hiya Madred, I promised myself not to get drawn into this but the story has a ring of possibilily i suppose.

However if Sharer is leaving newcatle cos he isn't first choice EVERY game he surely can't be guaranteed a start EVERY game for Liverpool ????

He's been dropped twice in Robson's reign and puled his face each time. Do we NEED or WANT players like that at liverpool ????

Im bewildered how this one has come about to be honest Dalglish?? Its also funny that dropping him is such big headlines too? I think it was 5 years to the day of Gullit first dropping him and not his dismissal. I have said in a earlier thread that the time for Shearer to arrive at Anfield was when Roy was in charge but now?? Im sure these are fan created rumours.

I tend to agree mate that it's fan induced and the best "Myths" are always those that have an element of truth about them.

You going to Bolton tomoz ? :D  I am :p

you can't blame Robsosn for not playing Shearer all the time, Shearer is gone next season and Robsosn has to get a new partnership established be it Bellamy-Kluivert, Kluivert- Ameobi or whatever. Newcastle also want Rooney but can't see them outbidding the scum.
