1) He's young, thus very malleable. Our training has always been tops. We have produced the best strikers in Britain. With Aguero's talent and our excellent training, he will be a bona fide superstar footballer.

Sign him.

2) If we don't sign him and he signs for someone else... chances are, it'll come slap us in the face. Imagine if he signs for chelski and pumps in over 20 goals, including goals that knock us out of the FA cup, league cup and champions league (if we get drawn with chelski) I cannot bear the anguish and turmoil and stress and sadness to know that this Aguero guy was this close || within our grasp and those over 20 goals should have been for us.

Sign him.

3) Most importantly. The very very most important reason to sign him is... He is a big big fan of Liverpool. It's his dream to play for Liverpool. When he comes and plays in the red shirt, it will not be for money or as a job... it will be for PASSION and DEDICATION to the best club in England and possibly the world.
This is the Liverpool spirit all of us are looking for.

Aguero knows he can earn big bucks in chelski, manure, barca, real madrid etc. But he chooses Liverpool. He chooses to express his interest in Liverpool when he can easily express interest in the clubs that will pay him obscene amounts of money. By choosing Liverpool, this shows that he would rather accept a fair wage and become a legend in a team he loves than an obscene wage and miss out on joining the team he loves.

Ronaldinho loved Barcelona and dreamt of playing for Barca. Look at his superb performances for Barca.

Aguero loves Liverpool and dreams of playing for Liverpool. There's a very high chance that he'll succeed and be our top player.

Sign him please! :)

For 10m , if rafa's interested, he'll sign the wonder kid. Let's hope that Aguero is in our target list and the price won't go up more than 10m. Hot prospect, indeed.

If it's not, here it is :D .

Aguero Goal

He is a striker, and one of the current top scorers in the league at the moment. The torneo Clausura in Argentina (most leagues here in south america divide the season in two, apertura and clausura so theres a winner in apertura, clausura and also a team that wins the national title by the point tally of both) at the moment is one of the most competitive leagues I have seen in a long time. Any team can win at the moment, River is first place with 25 points yet the team on 7th place has 20 points. With that said, Aguero is one of the best players in that league.

He also is the youngest player to make debut on the first division at 15 years of age. If he could make his debut in Argentina at that age, I dont see why he would not be able to play in England.

Yeah, that's the one. Look at it again, that is some questionable defending going on. Campagnuolo or whoever that was in goal, doesn't exactly have the best reflexes either right there.  Great goal and quick skills, though. :D

Because Walcott was rated mostly in England (way overpriced in my opinion). Aguero is being looked at by almost every big team in the world and he said he would prefer to go to Liverpool. Don't remember if it was saturday or sunday that Independiente played Arsenal in argentina and lost 2-0. The team overally played the same as always, it was just that Aguero had an off game. They have pretty much become a one man team. At the beggining of this year he played injured against River and scored 2 against them. I really hope that Rafa gets him because he is one of the most promising players at the moment. Also, the CONCACAF is speaking to FIFA to avoid young players to leave to Europe since lately, all promising players leave their countries to play in a more important and better paying league which affects national teams and leagues. That might bring problems to signing him.

17 year old Independiente midfielder Sergio Aguero, being chased by Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid, has issued a 'come-and-get-me' plea to Liverpool.

Despite the interest of clubs across Europe, Aguero feels that Rafa Benitez is the man to bring him on at Anfield.

"I know every player in the current Liverpool squad. I would be proud if Benitez went for me," said Aguero.

Key point! The lad wants to play for Liverpool. Seems he has his choice of clubs in any league and still, he wants to play for us.

Looks to me like he's got the talent and the attitude.
I wonder if Paletta was a strategice move by Rafa to appease Aguero's advisers and show that at least one other Argie is happy to come here and be Aguero's 'big brother' in a foreign land?  ???

Sign him but only for less than 5 million.

Sort of like a test for him see?

To see if his heart is in Liverpool or his loyalties lie with the cash.

Now do I make a good point?

Well, Aguero has already played with Paletta in the under 20's for Argentina so they already know each other and can help each other out :D (that is if Aguero does come).

No. Independiente would automatically reject such a small bid I'm sure.

I see where you're coming from though. We coudl possibly get him for a smaller price than other clubs if he forces his hand with Independiente a bit and says "He only wants to play for Liverpool".

This wont happen for 2 reasons:

1) He has played all of his life (footballing that is) in Independiente. He wanted to be Argentinian champion with them and owes a lot to the club. He won't leave Independiente unless The club gets good compensation.

2) The second reason is chances like this don't come everyday for many clubs. Independiente right now have one of the most wanted players around. Usually European clubs take players when they are younger and cost relatively nothing (in Peru's case, happened with Jeferson Farfan of PSV and Paolo Guerrero of Bayern Munich). Independiente are not of the "big" teams in Argentina, so this is a one in a million chance. Besides, in South America 10 million pounds can sustain a team for several years.

At the end its not a matter of where he wants to go. Although if Liverpool give a good offer, he can peruade them into selling him but not for less than 5 million.

From the highlights and one game I have seen of him looks very promising indeed.

Something to note though is he definately likes to do his quick cut to the left from the top of the box... Deadly atm but could quickly become predictable...  Hopefully isn't another one trick wonder like Cissy.

We paid 14 for Cissy (ripped off), so 10 for Aguero looks cheap.
If we compare the two though, just through the compilation packages, Aguero looks to be a much better player. In all the Cissy compilations I have seen I still cant see where 14 mill came from ?

Whats the chances of sending Cissy to south america in a swap??? hahaha *DREAMING* heck, we'll even through in Traore for free.
