Almost all of what Stu says generally is sensible, and this well thought-out offering is no exception. I might differ by half a point here and there but in the main I can't really argue. On the question of recommendations, Ashton is an interesting one. The World and his brother had a look before Norwich went in with the 3 million, and a little like the widely touted Cahill, he left them all wishing they had had the balls to do it themselves. He almost kept Norwich up on his own and will surely go somewhere in the Prem. I certainly wouldn't be gutted if we got him but feel he probably suits a team who play a little more direct than us, (Everton maybe?).
Whatever, given the fact that if anybody had had the temerity to even suggest signing him 6 months ago they would have been slaughtered, it's nice to see his progress has been noticed. I know I repeat myself but there are gems to be had if you look, study and have the nuts to take a punt. Early evidence suggest that Spurs might just have found one in Dawson at 3 million. Everyone looked at him also, (especially us by all accounts) but they went in and got him. It doesn't work everytime but you don't have to play for a foreign team to be a good player.
