Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

There is a good lad at Hib's, Ian Murray, who is under 21 Captain, used to play mid-field but converted to central defence after injury. excellent reports from North of the border:

6. Ian Murray

Date of Birth 20 March 1981
Place of Birth Edinburgh
Height 6' 0"
Positions Defence or Midfield
Signed February 1999
Previous Club(s) Dundee United
Editor Comments: A life-long Hibs fan who is not averse to demonstrating just that from time to time - in particular when facing city rivals Hearts! A former Scotland Under-21 skipper, Ian has captained Hibs since the departure of John O'Neil to Falkirk. Gained his first full international honour in a friendly against Canada at Easter Road, however the last year has been a frustrating one for Ian. He missed almost the entire 2003/04 season through injury, and indeed will miss the start of the current campaign - although one of the most highly regarded players in the Easter Road ranks fully expects to be back by October.

Bit of bias there Dawson, Darren Fletcher has looked OK to me and McFadden looked like a shrewd purchase by Moyse.
Is Ron Yeats scouting up there, what's he up to now ?  ???

Not sure that we need Fletcher at the moment. We seem to be well stocked in his position, if our new men start firing on all cylinders that is !
A good defender would be of useful, that lad Murray looks of interest !  :)

I totally agree with Stu the red. A new manager is needed at Scotland -maybe Gordon Strachan is that man. At least when Scotland lose they admit-they werent Good enough, unlike England who make a million excuses as to wot they did wrong. :;):

Dawson have you actually seen Fletcher play lad?

His passing, technique, vision and awarness of whats goin on around him are all very good. He can play on the right or in the middle and he also has the ability to get in the box.

Every time I have seen fletcher play he gave the ball away countless times and as for getting in the box how many goals has he scored ???
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.
