A very good player Saviola, i saw him play for Argentina against Wales at the millenium stadium in a firendly (1-1), he looked sharp, but nowhere near his peak yet

Addicks linked with Saviola

Saviola is a fringe player at Barca
Charlton are trying to sign Barcelona's unsettled striker Javier Saviola, reports El Mundo Deportivo.
The Spanish newspaper claims the Addicks and French side Lyon are both in for the Argentine striker, who is unsettled at the Catalan club.

Txiki Beguiristain handles Barcelona's transfer negotiations and he is said to have met with Addicks deputy chairman Richard Whitehand.

Saviola joined Barcelona from Argentine side River Plate in July 2001.

Barcelona are heavily loaded with attacking players having signed Henrik Larsson, Samuel Eto'o Ludovic Guily and Deco over the summer
