Saturdays game - Are you still up for it?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby stmichael » Thu Apr 22, 2004 3:47 pm

for me this fixture on saturday is normally the one which i look forward to the most during the season. it has helped in the past that i have generally felt we were capable of winning. i still think we can win this game although i'm not holding my breath.

i dunno about you but my enthusiasm for this match is not what it normally is. whether that's because it's not on tv or generally because we are sh#t this season i don't know. anyone else feel the same?

Personally this match always means a lot to mean, less that usual i grant you but it is still the pinnacle when we beat the scum.
I agree with you though Stmichjael, half of me is just waiting for the end of the season so i can watch Euro 2004 then get back to hopefulyl a more successful season next year

Come on lads I no were playing like a bunch off wet lettuce's but were playing Man Utd. I for one hate whats going on at the club.  An the sooner the better the board realise that GH hasent got a jar off glue the better.

Results havent been going are way but look how many corners we have had in the games lately.  LOL sorry I couldnt help that one, sad in it taking the p#ss out off our own manager.

But anyway saturday I think we will kick the horrible manc c**t's a#se's.  I no your probably thinking am talking threw me backside. An yeah your probably right aswell.  But am going to predict a 2-1 win for us.

Liverpool may not be playing to thier potential (or are they?) but we have to rise to the occasion and overcome them , they arent playing so well themselves this season and i reckon we can win this game but we must try to keep all eleven men on the pitch and they must give all they have for the full 90 mins......
i predict a 1-0 win for us with a late goal !!!!
When you get the ball, I want you to beat a couple of men and smash the ball into the net, just the same way you used to at Bury," said Shankly. Lindsay replied: "But Boss that wasn't me, it was Bobby Kerr." Shankly turned to Bob Paisley and said: "Christ Bob, we've signed the wrong player."

i think the reason the game has had no hype of expectation is because both teams are playing for nothing basically after both teams had poor seasons, traditionally a lot is at stake in the fixture. Thats no excuse not for it to be on tv though

You guyz can't watch it on tv?  Thats weird, its on tv here in Australia but not uk.  Thats really odd.  Anyways I've got a $500Au bet on Liverpool (about 200 pounds) and odds here are only 22:1 Liverpool by a goal.
