Well, Zidan is a totally different player and more of an attacking midfielder. Not someone to lead the line...

fact is man city wont sell to a rival

our best bet for a line leader is carlton cole...

id take him easily, put him in a good team and he will be very good

I would like Chamakh but it looks like he's going to Arsenal...

Santa Cruz was a very very overated player. He had one good season and thats it. Huge waste of money buy Man City

Santa Cruz has been a terrible signing by Mark Hughes but i still cannot see City willing to sell him to a rival at such a knockdown price. Liverpool are going to have to be shopping in the bargain bin this summer, there is not going to be a lot of money to splash around so it will be interesting to see exactly who comes in during the close season.

I was suitably impressed by the lad Piqiuonne last night to suggest he could do a job at Anfield. Managed 10 goals this year in a sh*te Pompey team. He would represent cheap back up for Torres and looked a bit of a handful. Better option than Santa Claus or Heskey!!

I was more impressed with their left back Belhadj.. and rumours say that Aurelio might not stay for another season...

not for me:D .
couldnt see him moving anywhere for less than 15mil and i dont think hes worth any where near that, let alone the 20 sparky paid.
id rather have pavluchenko than cruz.
but whats the chance of either club wanting to do buisness with us even if we had the funds.
2 scenarios for the summer.
one where we have new owners and can afford to splash on the five quality players we need and crave!!
second where bill and ben are still here and its gang bang time with there mates raping our club!!.if so we;ll be lucky to have anything to spend!!

the only people who would miss Aurelio would be our medical department.

Yes, defo, he's a proper striker (target man) of the level we need. But at 29 and apparently quite injury prone I wouldn't pay over the odds.

He's a good player, but apart from one really good season with Blackburn, his injury record and goalscoring record haven't been great.  I don't think we'd get value for money there.

I would echo what a few others have said about Piquionne.  I like the look of him, even though he's 31.  Unfortunately he's probably a more realistic target financially.  In my opinion he may be the best value for money striker with Premiership experience going this summer.  He'd at least offer us something a bit different - a big physical target man who might be able to change a game.  For me he's better at what he does than the likes of Heskey and Carew who are of a similar mould.

you guys are forgetting one thing

soon the rule is coming in where 8 out of your 25 squad must be homegrown

so you can forget signing foreigners this summer, we need quality englishmen

thats why carlton cole must sign
