Im sure the club will be sympathetic towards his needs. He should take some time away from football to mourn the loss (if of course he feels the need to). Grieving is a process that most of us will have to address and endure sometime in our lives. It should be done properly to ensure no future regrets. The club will continue. He will return.
rip mr benitez snr. thoughts are with rafa at this time but i read it said he will miss the funeral. From what i know of rafa and his paps he would want him to manage, win games for him. celebrate life not mourn death. Still, the club will do everything in its power to help rafa through this time
I hope Shanks and Bob are looking after Mr Benitez Snr., as Rafa is looking after their club.
God Bless

Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players. We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On
and i have to say after hearing that i have so much respeect for our gaffer. we could not have got a more noble (or better) man for the job anywhere in the world

RIP Francisco Benitez Thankyou for a truely great manager and a great guy all round, there is one of of two people this could have come from. This must be really difficult for rafa. I myself and I'm sure others know what it's like to have someone close to you die and for you not to be at their bedside or at their funeral. It just shows us of rafa's heart for the club to carry on working. I'm sure many would not. But maybe he is thinking that the trophy will be dedicated to his father.
