To be honest its quite disrespectful as well. We don’t deserve to be there at the moment, villa/spurs/arsenal deserve their places there on merit so far this season. There’s reassuring fans and then there’s being egotistical. That’s almost a jose mourinho thing to say.

That is simply not on.
chavski did exactly that last season and that "saved" them to a certain extent...well at least they qualifiy for CL spot....
almost all premiership managers, pundits and experts did not favour the decision at that point of time ...
they gambled and it paid off very nicely....
what would have happened to them if they still hang on to scolari at that time?
I do not want to ask myself 4 months from now "If only we could have let rafa go, we probably could have saved the season..."
not saying I accept that reasoning, but if I did, it would not make any difference.
This is Liverpool, not chelsea.
So why can't LFC sack a manager mid season?
Do we have to sacrifice a season for some nobility?
Because since when should we take examples from other clubs?
While we're at it, let's all go to games dressed as Batman and Robin, wear jester hats, and pull out the prawn sandwiches during games. Everyone should go to the official store before the game and buy a disposable plastic flag to wave about too.
What has any of this got to do with whether Benitez should be sacked?
