i agree. reina, torres, mascherano, aurelio, alonso, garcia, benayoun, sissoko, agger, johnson, arbeloa.
all completely useless.
with the exception of renia, macherano, torres, gerrard carra,........(two of them not being rafa's buys)...you convienetly left out the resy of rafa's sh11te buys deggen, dossena, babel, n'gog, kuyt, and the jury is still out on Maxi and Aqualani.....thats Rafa for you.
I would say Degen and N'gog have been good buys...
Degen was free and he isnt a bad player to be fair, he is underrated. N'gog is just a kid and he is scoring goals for our first team.
Kuyt was a valuable player last season, the 2nd highest scoring winger in the league to ronaldo. We wouldnt have reached 2nd without him as he made 3 or 4 match winning goals.
Dossena was indeed a bad buy. Babel also appears to be but we may yet get a nice fee from selling him.
If we 5roll them all up together....we might get a few million....but not much more. It's the same story season after season we always lose out on their sell on prices....Rafa pays top dollar...then sells at bottom price.....he cant spot talent if it hit him in the face.

You think Valencia has been a flop ?
Not that i am saying fergie doesnt sign them, but Valencia has been really good so far.
At the end of the day it does not matter what sh11te arsenal and Man u may have signed........they always have other class players who can come in and do a good job for them......who do we have when the likes of Torres and Gerrard are injured??....Mmm remind me again?.......I hear a deadly silence.......that says it all.......good bye rafa!
Why you smiling about it ?

Hmmm...
I'll humour this pr*ck for a moment:
Alonso - Signed for £10.5m, sold for £30m: £19.5m profit.
Sissoko - signed for £5.6m, sold for £8.2m - £2.6m profit.
Bellamy - signed for £6m, sold for £7.5m - £1.5m profit.
Crouch - signed for £7m, sold for £11m - £4m profit.
Arbeloa - signed for £2.6m, sold for £3.5m with 1 year left on his deal - £900k profit.
Carson - signed for £750k, sold for £4m - £3.25m profit.
Kromkamp - signed for free, sold for £2m - all profit.
Nunez - signed for "free" as part of Owen deal - sold for £2m - all profit.
Barragan - signed for £240k, sold for £680k - £440k profit.
Now for the current squad fees and current values:
Reina - cost £6m. Worth at least £15m, possibly up to £30m.
Agger - signed for £5.5m. Worth at least £10m.
Skrtel - signed for £6.5m, worth at least £8m.
Insua - signed for £1.5m, worth at least £4m.
Benayoun - signed for £4m, worth at least £10m.
Torres - signed for £20.2m - worth at least £50m, with Man City reportedly considering a £100m+ bid in the summer.
N'gog - signed for £1.5, worth at least £3m.
Riera - signed for £8m, worth at least £10m.
Aurelio - signed for free, worth at least £10m fit, £3m with current injuries.
Mascherano - signed for £18m, Barca were sniffing around with £30m bids in the summer.
Etc...
Please, though - don't let the facts get in the way of a good old period...

Personally I would love to see Martin O'Neill given the reins at Liverpool, he deserves a crack at a big club and why could it not be at Anfield. It is most likely as this Premier League football blog states that he will replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, but would like us to sneak in under their noses and steal him away earlier.
Lets not get to carried away with last nights result.....it could be another "false dawn"?.....and there have been plenty of them over the last couple of seasons.......Rafa's flops have a habbit of taking one step forward.....and two steps backward.....we have seen it happen all to often....until consistancy is established, lets be very cautious.....Rafa has bought himself a little bit of breathing space.....but the pressure is still very much on him, time and results will tell the truth....I still think he will go, if not soon then by the end of this season.
dawson99 wrote:It's funny. The 'pro Rafa' lot are so quick to say it was all down to Rafa that we won last night. But whenever we lose they will not lay any blame at his feet!
It was a great result last night for all fans, but it won't change anyones mind on whether they want him to stay or go.

oh for god's sake. for just once in your life give the team and the manager a bit of credit will ya? it's almost as if you want them to fail or something.
That's not what REDTILLDEAD is saying and you know it.
Credit for what, exactly? Beating Spurs 2-0? at home? Let me tell you something - we should be beating Spurs 2-0 at home every time.
REDTILLDEAD has history on his side, you only have hope on yours.

facts? are those valuations from the clubs sources or did you just make them up?to be fair to Rafa he does seem to get the money back when he sells someone. My problem is that he dosnt get the right the player the first time round! his record is pretty average in the transfer market considering the money spent, i would say its my main gripe with him

It's not the managers fault, it's a) bad luck, b) injuries, c) bad decisions, d) fans (support/beachballs), e) a conspiracy, f)............................................ quick, give Rafa a 20 year contract so he can live the dream that he will emulate whiskeynose. Perhaps the magic is in the whiskey
To a point, yes, you can blame bad luck. Compare this season with any other we have had. Under other managers you could argue against man management (same with rafa), signings made (same with rafa) but I think this season has got to be the worst for us as it is simply unbelivable the decisions and bad luck that have gone against us. We drew with stoke, but we could easily have won that. Once again the referee gave nothing for Liverpool. A penalty we should have had ended up with a booking against us instead. And once again, the decisions knocked the players for 6. Am I saying give him a new contract? no, what I am saying is yes, rafa is to blame for the negative tactics and the average players we have but I am also saying this season is unique in a bad way. I dont think we will ever have a season like this one again. So many things have gone against us its beyond ridiculous. Or should I have saved myself the hassle of explaining and jump on the "Its all rafas fault" bandwagon?
Yeah - the gods are against us every match!
That's the logical conclusion.
It's about as convincing a football argument as you've managed to put together in the all the time you've been on here.
