If he leaves or not we would still need to start everything from scratch.

Quite well said, if Benitez leaves we are screwed because Torres, Reina and most of our good players will probably want to leave and what has he left is with........

Stevie G on his last legs.

In his five years, astonishingly after all that INVESTMENT into kids not ONE, I WILL REPEAT THAT, NOT ONE has come through the ranks and playing senior footy.

Kelly,Spearing,Insua,Ecclestone,Ayala and Ngog all kids . Plus players like Pacheco getting close

you look at this list of Rafa's signings and you have to wonder how those of them which are left are going to help Liverpool long-term. Even the squad players at the moment are not looking good enough, and these are getting games ahead of the young kids, so I worry about what would happen if we missed out on Champions League qualification and then players get unsettled. I can imagine a number of them not wanting to play Europa League football and eyeing up moves to the continent. The squad is full of average players and losing any of the better ones means we have an inadequate replacement to come in. It is a worrying time at the moment and I struggle to see how things are going to move forward over the next three to five years if Rafa remains in charge.

Insua? Kelly? Ngog?

He got Pacheco and Nemeth who loook like they could soon be first team....

Nope.

Won't count on any "potentials" until we all see them play REGULARLY and HOLD a spot in the team.

Over the last 5 years I have heard many young "stars" that have been shipped in and out under the radar, all great futures ahead of them and where are they now, most of them playing in Division 3 or 4 footy.

I will say it again so my words ring true with the stubborn...

NOT ONE!

Insua has started nearly every game this season and is now playing for Argentina..  ???

N'gog has been on the bench for nearly every game this season  ???

They are both getting regular football and are holding their places

Ola Mr Benitez wrote:I don't believe this thought that if Rafa left so would half of our team? ??? Why?

I think there's as much a case of players leaving for want of success if Rafa stays. If players do leave it isn't the end of the world, better they show their true colours and leave than have players who only want to play for Rafa FC and not Liverpool FC.

I thought Rafa's comment about being "sure" we would finish in a CL place was ill-advised, better to say that we are still well in contention and returns from injury should improve on that.

But the bottom line is we're THIRTEEN POINTS behind the leaders after just THIRTEEN GAMES. We've one just ONE game in the last ten, wasn't 'one in ten' a UB40 hit about unemployment and how bad things had gotten under Thatcher.......................................?

To put drawing with Citeh into perspective, they've drawn SIX league games in a row, including Fulham and BURNLEY at home and Wigan away, yes the same Wigan that conceded NINE yesterday. That said they managed a draw away to brum, we couldn't beat either of them at home

The way liverpool are playing compared to all the teams above us presently, especially scum and the kings road poofs, i cannot see us clawing our way to the title this year....no way jose.....in fact i cant see us clawing our way to a top 4 spot tbh. Unless, some miracle happens, we will defo struggle to finish 6th...mark my words, it would have to be a massive turnaround of fortunes for that to happen.

Any realist would agree with my sentiments, however, that does not mean i dont want our team to do badly, i want them to win every game !!

I wonder at what point the owners are going to push the panic button?

I am completely convinced that as soon as we get rid of Rafa our fortunes will turn around and if we got rid of him now then 4th spot is still well within reach, if we wait too long then we are in serious trouble of being completely out of europe which will mean zero transfer budget and the start of a spiral downwards, we have to get rid of Rafa now, in my opinion it is every bit as important as getting new owners. How tempting to you guys think Liverpool is as an investment right now??

Maybe by getting in a manager who will make damned sure they don't make those mistakes.
