Rumour mill working

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

:( Heard a terrible rumour yesterday - Ferguson is to leave United because of the problems they are having at the Manc lot with the shareholders - he is going to replace Houllier, O'Neill is going to United, not us and Roy Keane is going to Celtic. Don't know if it is a load of rubbish, but what would everyone think if it really did happen? - Liverpool managed by the bloke who has been knicking trophies off us for the last 16 years. O'Neill is the man we need -young, talented and someone who can get the best out of even the most limited of players. Mind you, if we win tonight, " the boys will have done well " - well better than United at the weekend ## ##!

This story sounds almost as realistic as Houllier winning the premiership. :p
Interviewer:       'Would it be fair to describe you as a volatile player?'
David Beckham: 'Well, I can play in the centre on the right and occasionally on the left side.' (Man U)

Ferguson to Anfield? Very funny.

O'Neill to Old Trafford. Very possible.

Keane to Celtic. Very likely. He has stated on numerous occasion that he wants to end his playing days at Parkhead.

If the Magnier issue prevents Ferguson from sealing a new contract, this scenario could happen. With Fergie off to focus on his horses.

Maybe Fergie does want the Liverpool job redandblue he could let the players do what they want and spent his days at Aintree on a winner both ways.

If Ferguson is ever forced out of Old Trafford (i.e. after losing a power struggle with the Irish chaps) I see him going down the Terry Venables route of dodgy business deals and buying clubs for £1, earning millions and leaving them further in debt.

I doubt he'll ever properly mamage a team full time again.

For years i've wanted Fergie to step down in the hope that the Manc empire might crumble froom top to bottom and they'd hire some chump like Bryan Robson to come in and wreck all his hard work bu now-I never thought i'd say it but "Fergie, please don't go, not for a bit anyway". I've got my heart set on O'neil coming to Anfield in the summer and i think it WILL happen. So long as the Manc job doesn't come up (or look as though it might) so please Fergie "don't go!"
