In todays Mirror it says that City are in for the Feyenoord winger Romeo Castelan if they sell SWP to Chelsea.
The lad is valued at only 4 Million and looked the best player on the park by a mile against England.
I know it was only a friendly but he took Ashley Cole the cleaners every time he run at him.
I would be impressed if Rafa was looking at him...it would be a much cheaper option as well.

Did he? I thought they all wore they're squad numbers, nobody has picked up on that in the media. Thats interesting!

Don't rate govou myself, Figo deal looks like it may be dead now and SWP is out of our price range now chelski are sniffing around.

I'd like to see us go for Van der Meyde for the right. Surprised no clubs have been linked to him. He's out of favour at inter and available for a couple of mil i think. His got great pace, and although he's been poor in Italy I think he's more suited to the prem.

I watched Govou a few times. He is not that impressive and might stuggle to adapt to premiership.

We will just have to wait and see, I think there's something going on with Kewell, they wouldn't just take his number off him for nothing, and if the club had of changed it there would have been an anouncement. It's a possibility that we will offer around £15 or £16million plus a few player's, probably the one's I had suggested previously.

i was at the wrexham game and the commentater said over the tannoy that some of the squad numbers were different for that particular match...although come to think of it 7 was one of few changes, with le tallec wearing it on satdy.

I heard from a fairly unreliable source, but the info makes sense, that Man City will only listen to offers around 23mil, and that they will have 10 million of the money to turn around and use on players. Either way there are better options than SWP and hardly any are priced as high.

I prefer paying the 2 millions to get Figo rather than investing 23 millions in one shot to get SWP. SWP is definitely a player i would love to see on day in the red of LFC but the asking price at the moment is too high. Most of us want home grown talent in the team but we should also take into consideration the price tag those players carry.
