not necessarily Dr Liverpool. SWP can say he is not going to go to Chlesea whatever they bid and tell Man City he'll sit on hid contract till he can leave on a free if he likes.

Man City aren't going to risk losing the player for nowt just to get an extra couple of million.

I'd say SWP's definitely going to the Gooners(Ian Wright).

i have no doubt that we have no chance of gettin swp and all this talk will come to nothing, we probably have no interest in the player anyway. too pricy for us to get hold of him, the odds are a million to 1 we would get him. saying that i would be ecstatic if rafa came out today and said we are hopeful of signing swp that would be the biggest boost ever if we got him

Latest rumour is that we offered £17m plus Baros for SWP.  That would put the total deal at £24mish, and god knows City need a striker.

Maybe the Figo thing is a smokescreen for the SWP deal??

Rafa says we have a few options for the right hand side that he is looking at.

1.  Figo
2.  SWP
3.  ??? who else???

Wenger has been moaning (for a change) about Chelsea being able to dictate the market....wouldn't it be fantastic for Rafa to quietly go about his business, and land the biggest signing of the summer   :buttrock

I don't think Baros would be too happy going to Man City to be honest, I could see a few other player's being thrown into the deal ( if it even exist's ), the like of Diao and Biscan, player's like that would bolster City's midfield whereas they are mediocre in our's. Hopw we pull off the move.

Actually, was just thinking Kewell could be in the deal, I noticed his squad number was taken by another player for the Wrexham game!

I hope that could be true, but i don't think that RB will splash so much money on a single player.

Rafa said that he has a few more possibilities apart from Figo, I guess that SWP might be one of them, but there must be someone else highly rate that Rafa is working on.

id rather swp than figo, it would be nice to have figo but he would only play for 1 or 2 seasons where as swp will be 1 for the present and future
