too right dawson, just been on cfc.net and the Chelsea fans really want him, he thinks that he's the player the are missing (and a striker of course).

I'd love to see such a talented young englishmen at the club, but 20 million is very steep, and if it comes down to a bidding war then no prizes for guessing who'll win it. However SWP may choose Liverpool over Chelsea because of our tradition and he'll get more game time here than he would in London I'd think.

mixed. Most if them are glad he didn't come cos they think he's mentally unstable, some of them are so far up Lampard's @rse they think Stevie is average.

Most of them are basing their opinions of Stevie on this seasons when he has clearly been unsettled, and not of 2003-04 whwn he carried us single-handeldly, and easily had as good a season as Lampard did for Chlesea this season.

A lot of them would've welcomed him to the club, and see him as a good addition, but not too bothered he's decied to stay tbh, and with a sqaud liek theirs and money coming form everywhere, I can't say i'd be that bothered either.

They really want SWP though.

We cant beat Chelsea in terms of transfee fee but SWP has to choose where he goes. If he wants to come to Liverpool thn he Rafa will put up the money. Hes said he will bring in big players and we have been linked with him in the past also. Rafa was going to slash out anyway on one or 2 big names before the whole SG incident.

it doesnt matter what swp wants its like someone said here yesterday that gerrard wants to go to real but liverpool will hardly let him go to real if they bid 35milion and chelsea bid 40milion we're hardly going to sell him to real... same as man city they will give permission to talk to the player to the highest bidder
