They are well overpriced,yet still you get people on here saying we need more english players and moaning about all are overseas players,well if they are willing to put up with players of Crouchs quality for the extortionate fee of £7mil then let them.

Makes sense that we'd want to buy SWP as Benitez would want to bring the average height of the squad back to normal if he also buys Crouch. Maybe he sees them as a double act who can get a few dressing room laughs (remember twins: Danny DeVito & Arnie S.) after the deriousness of the Gerrard saga.

I would love us to sign Wright-Phillips and Crouch this week, if only to see the photo of them with the boss being unveiled as Liverpool players....they'll have to cut Crouches head off the photo or just show the top of Wright-Phillips head

SWP would be my No1 choice of anyone that we've been linked with. Great player, young, premiership experience, versatile and english.

It would also be a great statement of intent about our ambition, and the type of players we are bringing to the club.

Rafa said 2 or 3 signings this week....how about

SWP
Kuyt
and a defender (Millto, Upson or Ledley King please)
