RTK - YANKEES GO HOME

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby taff » Thu Jan 17, 2008 5:41 pm

We have to accept some change with the commercial world taking over football but these two have totally lost everyones respect especially with the statements they came out with when they acquired the club.

Just sell up and go

well i have not been as involved in everything LFC as id have liked to recently but this ain't what i was hoping to come back too.

Seems like on one hand, this is the only way forward.....making our club a "business" for people to exploit if we want to be at the top where we should be.
But on the other hand if, the people who care most about the club who have owned us in the past seem to lack knowledge on the business side of things for some reason when it comes to running the club.

And its up to the fans as usual to sort out the mess.

In full support of what RTK is trying to do....lets hope it makes the right kind of impact.

The topic starter is an excellent one and I agree with every word. The overall sentiment of getting these people out of the club should absolutely take precidence for all Liverpool fans IMHO. This is far more important that who the manager is, rotation, who plays up top, who we should sign or any of that stuff. The club will never prosper while these two have anything to do with it in my opinion.

If it's the case (and it seems to be so) that Rafa gets under their skin, and that they are reluctant to get rid because it would mean settling his contract, then he has my 100% backing. We aren't going to win the league this season anyway, but we won't win it ever with these two doughnuts infecting the heart of the club. It doesn't really matter now if the manager changes all eleven players every game and puts Crouch in goal, ridding the club of these two is more important, and though I don't always agree with the die hards 100%, they are absolutely on the money this time.

*Disclaimer* Once these two c...s have gone though, the rotation debate is back on make no mistake :D

Well, I remember there were a lot of people against it from the beginning Daws (although not nearly as many as will now claim that they were against it from the beginning, if you get my meaning :D).  But, there were, I think, a lot of people--and I'm one of them--who were prepared to give them a chance.  After all, Man U didn't implode as people predicted/hoped after the Glazers took over so there was hope that an influx of Yank cash might be the way forward.  Many of us took our cues from their early press conferences, where--despite the odd gaff--they gave the impression that they would uphold traditions and leave the footballing decisions to the footballing men.  Sadly, they've not done that and seem to be rather lighter in the cash department than they first let on as well.  Bottom line: they talked a good game a year ago but they've since been exposed for the muppets they are.  :no

Monday night needs to be special ,a televised game shown around the world.

As far as im concerned every fan attending Mondays match should take a white card or board with them with the words YANKS GO HOME.
Im talking every fan not just in the Kop .but the Anfield Rd, and the stands. These :censored: have said they dont understand the scouse accent and made Carra look like a :censored: monkey getting him to perform for there guests. So they most prob dont understand what were singin about either

Im no way saying this is on par with the Justice for the 96 demo what we had against Arsenal but we have to do something along similar lines to make these clowns and the media of the world sit up and notice of how we feel about these G.obshites

I was always sceptical of the yanks. I work for a company that was taken over by a larger American company. They come in all warm and smiley, like a friendly uncle, Uncle Sam. But soon they start to show their true worth, cold hard business men. No passion, no honour and no respect for tradition.

I understand why everyone is saying make a statement at the next game but do you really believe they will be bothered in the slightest if we sing nasty songs at Foster or even sing nasty songs about them???. They don't care about us, they have probably pi55ed most of their employees or fans of other clubs they own a million times.  These are hard nosed multi millionaire buisness men.

Its all about the $ to them.  The only way to make them notice is to turn up outside the ground and don't go in.  and then do the same the next game.

Imagine the worlds press outside Anfield whilst the ground is empty.  The teams running out and there is nobody there.

On monday the ground will be full as usual, which means we are once again putting money in the yanks pockets whilst they stick their little cox up our clubs a$$
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Ola Mr Benitez-I've got to agree with you there.  The demonstrations will have no effect on the owners, these are just cold old :censored: who only care for money.  The best way to hurt them is to stop putting money into their pockets.  Unfortunately, I just don't see that happening right now.

We must act NOW or else history will look back at this period and see how we just laid down and died in front of these new owners who are plainly taking the :censored: out of our great club. There is not even time for a debate about it! The window of opportunity for the fans to make themselves heard is short, a matter of days so we must put all other interests aside and focus on this.

This is big, more important than the situation with Rafa, the stadium or anything else. This is bigger than going to old Trafford on the final day of the season and winning the title in their backyard. This is the legacy of our great club.

What do I suggest? An all out effort to show the owners and the world that WE MEAN BUSINESS. How many times do we talk about ourselves as being special fans becuase we don't take :censored: from no one or that we love our club more than other fans? Well this is the time to prove it. I am not just talking about witty banners but a real all-out attack. Let's get the message across that we simply want the American owners out as we don't trust them and we don't like them. We won't support them now and we won't in the future and will make their life hell. Let's make them see there is nothing for them here if they don't have our support. The world will laugh at them if we keep telling them we want them out and they try to stay in charge.

How do we do this exactly? Let's be passionate, creative but ultimtately, let's be direct and focussed. Banners - big ones with direct messages like 'We want you out now', 'Leave our great club alone', 'We will never trust you'. Let's carry out mass demonstration - how about 50,000 people marching thru Liverpool chanting. Bombard the media, bombard the American media.

Let's do it Red Men - this is our moment in history.  :veryangry
